Oracle Angel Eyes Kit Now Available
Re: Oracle Angel Eyes Kit Now Available
I am tearing my lights apart to clean the inside and polish the lens. I have spotting on the inside and tried cleaning with methanol a couple of times but it did not help. I polished the outside multiple times and it helps overall but I can still see the spotting inside so it is time to clean them internally. I will be cutting the black plastic shroud with a thin dremel cutting disk.
While they are apart I will probably install angel eyed from Oracle. Anyone install the Plasma White rings? They offer 3 styles - the CCFL are not really very visible during the day and the SMD are an array of LEDs and I have read that you can see the individual leds. The newer plasma styles are smoother and brighter lights but I am wondering if it will actually overdrive the headlight lens with too much light.
Anyone try their Plasma White kit?

ORACLE Halo Kits
I ordered the Plasma white.....they provide four rings and they fit on the outside of the smaller projector rings. My lights are currently apart and I am installing them now.

I'm curious how difficult they were to install. The You tube Video claims you can bake the headlight assemblies in an oven (250 degrees) for 15 min and they should split apart.
Is this what you did or did you cut them open as many members claim is required to open the unit. Was the light quality a noticeable improvement and worth the effort. I am also considering the Plasma by Oracle. When wired to the Parking light, any issue getting the Headlight and High beam to work independently of each other?

Well my P.O.S. Oracle Halo Plasmas didn't even make it one year....about 3-4 months maybe at best!!!---garbage. Out of the four two of them have noticeable dark spots...one at least an inch in length. I will never buy another set from that company...
So now I have another winter project...rip the lights apart again and replace with a high quality component...that rules out ORACLE! At least I put them back together with the thought that they have to come apart again so I only used glue in three spots and silicone the rest of the sealing surfaces.
It's amazing the low quality stuff that US companies are now selling....all Chinese made and built not to last.

Just noticed dead spots in all four of my Oracle Angle Eyes. That is a 100% failure rate and they didn't even make it one season! I will be ripping those POS out this winter. Now I have to hunt for some high quality parts...so that rules out anything from ORACLE.

Do those require a ballast? Maybe try a new one first. James
