I would say 80$ installed isn't a bad price, but the OP has not installed his on the crossfire yet and doesn't know how much of a pain in the *** it is!
Most kits are 40-50$ now, so 40$ for installation if it was quick & good (which it probably won't be originally, really.) isn't that bad.

I don't mean to give the OP a hard time on this-I just wanted to point out, as said earlier, that this is kind of a family thing and trying to make a buck at your first reunion is a bit... gauche?

Sorry.

Mike, I have had a 'high end' McCulloch HIDs in one of my other cars, and I can honestly say, they are so similar to the cheap ones, I wil never pay those prices again.

As far as for highs, it is not recommended as HIDs need time to come to temp and with brights usually being flipped on and off, they are not usually the best fit. But if you are routinely driving at night with your highs on out in the middle of nowhere in Montana, they may be a great fit as you coudl leave them on longer.

Just my 0.02, don't overpay....

Mike
I have only had these and have not ever made a comparison to other brands etc.
These came highly recommended by maxcichon and he installed them for me.
They seem to be a high quality very bright HID for the money and I have had them for over a year now without any issues.

Oh, it's safe enough for you. It's just that we have instituted a new "per pun" tax.

And the worse they are, the more you pay. It's all part of the Obamacare thing. Bad puns, like yours, can cause serious injury or illness!

If you thought that was bad I can do worse and frequently do.
They are so bad at times that I am the only one who gets it.

Would you like a separate bill, or just add it on to your 1040 next spring?
