I do wonder what might happens with hoods propped open and wind.....could one or two simple supports like used to hold hoods and doors open at car shows work ??? I bet they would!!!

Thanks Med....I know this has been a lot of trouble for you and I hope this does not prevent you from using your talents for future products......I'd love to see more!!!!!

My hood shrank after I let it sit outside in the rain and then the sun came out. I use it on my golf cart now.

I got my hood today.....

Med went through way too many hoops with FED-X

I went over the box with a fine tooth comb and the driver was very helpful and understanding....he marked the invoice "subject to inspection" when I told him I needed to take the hood over to my shop and that I did not want to completely unwrap the hood.......helps to have one arm all tied up from the surgery.

I'll update later when I get some help with the hood.....

Can't wait to put mine on! It's at the body shop currently and getting painted. Leaving the cowl and vents carbon fiber and the rest painted black to match the car. Also getting an extra coat of clear. I'll post pics once completed. The hood is gorgeous, Med! Fedex managed to ship it without incident! Thank you much..

I appreciate the patience of the last 3 guys that received the vented CF hoods. I'm actually in Ireland right now, nevertheless my XF is in a Seattle paint shop getting the SRT-6 bumper and Vented hood painted to match the car.

I'll post pics in 1 week.

Now to get these OEM styled CF hoods out of this storage unit is my next task.

FYI...

To do a 3rd bulk buy on the vented hood design will require full payment upfront on 10 hoods. I tried twice to just collect deposits and that has left me in the red both times with guys backing out after the orders placed.

Please understand the process to get the product from point A-Z is not free, and being stuck with the bill is very hard on a guy that suppose to be getting married.

Prior to getting into my lil fender bender in January, I really did not value having a spare back up hood.

My car is currently in the shop for paint, nevertheless, the spare has been boxed up.

I have received multiple offers for the 2nd Vented Prototype hood. I will let you know if the guy drops out. Dropping out on a deal is pretty common around here

Dear Mad_Med!

I have a question about carbon fiber hood.
As saw on our forum it`s possible to buy one from you.

If it still possible, I`d like to know price/weight and possibility to ship it to Russia.

Best regards,
Andrey

Med,

Will you produce vented hoods in visible future?

I liked that style very much and would be happy to buy one of this.

Not this year.

We will need at least 10 individuals to play full price up front to start another bulk buy of that design.

Thanks,

Med

Cool.. kinda thought they were history with the last round ordeal. That "second prototype" would have been in the mail if I wasn't holding funds for the Turbo charger.. You wouldn't have had time to re-think it.. LOL.

New hood pictures. I am still tweaking some things, like my mesh grille, to work with the new hood, but it looks good on the car...
