You are the man, Med. I was just trying to make sure I would not have to **** off my girl, and then not even get to see it

Trust me when I say, weather is great and having Doc's pristine Black SRT roadster and my black coupe in some shots with this hood will be EPIC.

Looking forward to seeing it, and I will be around Friday night and Saturday earlier in the day, whatever works for you and Doc.

Not a problem Max thanks for the chance to see it in person.

First off fitment was a priority to me and the hoodplacement and spacing and gap seemed very close to OEM. The only issue was at the back of the hood where the hindges were and max stated he was aware of this and the production versions would have slot adjustments so you can raise and lower the back for a perfect fit.

The vent design was my other area of interest. I stated in an earlier post that the vents flowed well with the cowl but somehow seemed slightly off with the angle of the back of the hood line against the window. In person it wasnt as noticeable and didn't seem awkward when compared to the picture Max provided on the forum. Max mentioned possible revisions with tighter mesh and a possible option of the Jag vents that many have seemed to approve.

The design i liked most about this hood was the raised center or cowl. It flowed extremely well with the car and gives it an exotic/muscular look. The height of the raised portion is enough to give it this quality without appearing gawdy or tacky in my opinion.

The weight of the hood was another area of interest to me. I'm always intested dropping wieght off the car as i enjoy any excuse to put this thing on the track and less weight means improved performance. I got to open Max's hood and i instantly noticed this thing felt a fraction of the stock hood. I guessed slightly over 10lbs and Max said the manufactures stated that most hoods end up less than 20lbs.

 

Thanks for the update and for providing your observations ProjechMahem. I can't wait to see the final version with the improved vents. As always, thanks for all of your hard work Mad_Med05X.
