Really wanted to ask some questions today about paintless dent removal but new you don't go for that. Searched and read allot of info but still wanted to get a suggestion from a member on pictures I took of small dings. Got on the phone and called around, searched the Internet and didn't get my answers. Really feel this site is for certain people and not for people that need help or want to ask for help. I don't think I can use the site the way you guys allow it to be used. This is really a bad thing for me because I use to wait to get on here. This really sucks! Enjoy!

That was posted as we had a big blown out talk earlier of what could be asked or what should be searched earlier on this thread for some reason. Check it out. I was just making a statement that I find asking is more helpful to me than reading allot of far-out and outdated information, that may not be useful anymore. It seems that some can ask questions and others can't and the cant's should do searches and read post all day. I'm not sure why.

Dude! Now you're just being bitter. Find a thread about paintless dent repair and post there if it originally pertained to your current question. If you can't find one that is close, then start a new thread.

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...t-removal.html

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...t-removal.html

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...51-dented.html

These are three different threads in regards to three different types of dings. Find the one most suited to your question and post a reply and show your pictures. Yes, two of them are older but guess what, sometimes it's better to bump an older thread to the top vs starting a new on.

Guess we need a Crossfire forum for dummies book. (and FYI, it's a series of books, I'm not calling you a dummy.)

This really feels like the start of the socialist party. I am glad you are allow me do do something as long as I stay in your guidelines. Next they get rid of books but how will I search. Your better than this!

You know what, I hear Yahoo! is a great place to ask questions and wait for people to answer them. Why don't you go there if you feel this place is the socialist party and that you can't ask questions and if things don't fall within someone's guidelines you can't post them. It's common sense and self esteem. If you think I or anyone else on this forum is going to feel sorry for you because you don't feel like you can post, you have a totally wrong read on the people here. No one sympathizes with stupidity around here and this is getting to that point. You're being obnoxious, disruptive and just trying to get under peoples skin and after 400 some posts, one would think you'd have a pretty good grasp on how to conduct yourself on the forum. After all this, I don't think you do so why don't you prove me wrong.

really Dart, you're making more of a deal about this than at least I think is necessary. Basically it works like Rudy said. Do a search on the topic you want, research that alot, follow the threads (sometimes they can get pretty deep and long and I grant it is sometimes tedious), and if there is something still not quite right about it then you can start a new topic, or resurrect the new topic referencing the fact that this aspect hasn't been addressed or you can PM certain folks where your puzzlement was generated. Everybody has been really helpful to me and I look for what I need first, then dig deeper if I have to, or just merely bring the topic back up for a small point if needed.

But the key is to search the forum first, in depth, and then not ask silly questions that show the research wasn't done. Capische?

But nobody here is setting outlandish rules on who and what can be posted. It's not like a keep outsiders out club at all. This has been one of the best forums I've ever been on. The forum has a great search function, unlike others on the yahoo boards where you can't find squat, then bring up a question and some nail your butt to the wall for not digging thru 1300 messages about where to dine while on the AlCan Hwy.

I really don't know why we are wasting so much space on a thread thats for running lights.
It really would have been much easier if you just allowed the questions posted in one post to be answered, which no one has. Also allow all members to post their questions and maybe we will get better more current answers. Who wants to stay in 2004 anyway its old info. People are sending me private messages supporting me and saying your a small group that jumps on them as well so don't feel bad. You really have some great stuff here and all the members have said follow the treads but don't rock the boat. Why do you guys continue to bust people as it takes longer and just gets bad feelings going between members. Including the loss of members. When I installed rcompart's mod we talked and got along fine. What changed. This is like a high school click thing. As all of you know many back treads have outdated info and I know you would like it brought to the front again, as stated earlier, but why, its mostly outdated. There is a lot of new info available and could be adding to the threads if we weren't researching the old and restricting the new. I have even been frowned on for bringing an old thread forward as at one point. I wanted to learn more about the ricer underbody lights and people didn't like me reading that thread or posting to it. So it really sounds like you are telling people what to read, what not to read , when you should post and when not to post. Does this sound ok to you? Does it sound familiar does it sound right. Maybe I just don't fit with your way of thinking. Maybe an open minded individual should think about whats going on here and comment. If they agree people should be censored than or controlled that will be the ruling. What the big deal! Your killing the fun! Ron

sorry Dart, but I'm just not feeling your point here. You were talking about paintless dent removal, on an audi headlamp trim thread which has now turned into a social injustice thread.

look. You want to talk about paintless dent removal options, search it, and if you can't find it then start a new thread. It's really pretty easy. otherwise it's call hijacking a thread and noone likes that, in any forum or message board. it's really very simple.

Nothing has changed. If anyone on this forum was doing this, I'd say something. Even if it was FP or any of the other very active members of the forum and I would hope someone would step up to the plate and do the same if it were me. You're dwelling on this like you're trying to prove a point. The point is use your noggin. If someone says search for it, take some time and search for it. If you really put in the effort to search and came up empty, then post your question. Do you see me posting tons of new threads about things I've figured out with this car? No. You know why? Because a lot of what I've figured out has already been asked in past posts and if you put all the relative information together, it makes searching for it a lot easier. Please do everyone on this forum a favor and go about business as you find fit. If it means that we have to avoid you, so be it. I really don't have any beef with you but you're really trying hard to strike a nerve with me and I'm not sure if my posting gives you the impression that it's working but I'm just trying to help you understand where a lot of the members are coming from. Sorry if I've sounded brash as that wasn't the intent, I just you want this place to be easier to use and for everyone to get along and use it together. And the part about people not wanting to read about your curb lights, you have to be thick skinned to be on here and think outside the box. I had people playing devils advocate (to put it nicely) about the Quick Touch Top and how people were going to lose fingers or hands or their kids because of it. If I curled up in a ball over every negative comment, nothing would happen. No one wants to stifle innovation but at the same time, people are very protective of what they think is acceptable. Sometimes you just have to tough it out and other times, present it in a different way or explain your rationale for doing something.

With all this, I hope the mods can make a new thread for this so we can get the clutter out here and get back to the original topic.

My original questions were posted about the Led Running lights as seen on the first page of this thread. Check it out! On the first page my questioned was answered by Boilerupxfire by saying what I can and can't post. This continued by others for many additional posts.

The example I used about paintless dent removal was placed on here as an example of my feelings about posting and something I wanted to post but felt I couldn't in defense of what I was told. I am not hijacking anything but trying to defend my question I posted by replying to all that say I'm posting incorrectly. Sorry for confusing you.

Here's what I was able to find. Seems everyone of your questions was answered previously with the exception of the length they need to be cut (which would depend completely on your personal preference on how high up you wanted them to go on the outside), if they are waterproof after being cut (which is probably dependent on which brand is purchased) and what diameter of LED (you can see in the images that preceded your post, that both small and larger ones were used so perhaps this falls under the personal preference thing again) so please explain to me why we are still having this conversation?

audi led lights, eBay Motors, Electronics. Great deals on eBay!

Really only looked for conversation from some members. Like in conversation.
You have done all you can to make an *** out of me. I really don't care what you want, I wanted to ask some people questions. I hope the same attitude you gave me hits you at some time. You can take your private site and do with you want with it! Its too bad we have a Gestapo here!

They look nice. I would like to see a kit available that made the individual lights less noticeable and appear as though it was all one glow. Someone has figured this out, because I have seen it available for some Subaru parts(of all things!) overseas, but I have never found a supplier here or really know how it is done. I agree that making them blink with the turn indicator would be awesome as well. Since I am NOT an electrician, can they be caused to blink with the indicators AND stay on when the indicator turns off without too much work, or would that be a headache for a wiring rookie? BTW, I would like to THANK all the members like Rudy that take the effort to help everyone like me out. Because of Rudy and others on this forum, I was able to figure out my IC pump was going out, how to fix it, where to find probably 4 or 5 aftermarket accessories and numerous badges without a problem and it was mostly because of searching the site. I don't mind being told if something has already been discussed personally. It then just lets me go and see what everyone thought. I think some people are sometimes quick to bark harshly, but we all do that from time to time. We are human and males at that. LOL When I do that, just tell me to take a Midol and get over it. LOL I can take it.
