Default The Good, the bad and the ugly

So I was messing around with the crayons tonight since my power supply took a **** and I couldn't tinker with the electronics and this is what I came up with. I'm personally on the fence so everyone give me your honest opinion. If you think it looks awesome or awful, let me know.

I dimmed my window surround and handles, but they look Ford POS.

THe wheels look dirty and though I painted my front end and ventilated hood non reflective black, I would not like the wheels.

Not so much for me Rudy. I like chrome and satin on the Cross. the car is short so in my opinion needs a bit of bling

No sir Rudy........keep it up though. I have been thinking of combos in the color Spectrum that complements the Silver Blue hues...as you know I went the yellow caliper /slasher route. I want to try something new with the SSB.

I think I like it. I have also been contemplating the look of different colored accents. Not sure what really "goes" with SSB... chrome or black. I would sport it for awhile, until I had another idea, lol.

I think what you did to the car in the picture looks good! Nice and simple and gives it a more masculin look to the car.
No matter what you do to the car unless it is origional or very close to it the majority of people on the forum will not like it. There is something about most crossfire owners that don't like these cars being changed or altered. For example, Rim selection - Mandrus milleniums are a big hit, they look like the srt rims. Ansa Muffler - sounds stock just a little louder and you can put the stock tips on it.
Another example is my car, paintjob and rim selection was not the best choice according to the forums, but I LIKE IT! Just wait till I find a set of tail lights I like because the factory ones are ugly and they need to be changed.

I take another approach, I like to see the cars customized, stock or not I think it's interesting to see what others come up with. it just becomes a question of whether or not it fits with my tastes of what I'd like to see if it were my car. I'm of the persuasion that if you like it and makes you feel good about it then it doesn't matter what I think of it.

Bingo.......I feel the same. How boring would it be if they all look identical.

By the way, this post has referred that the engine bay is ffully capable of running a V8 in it. Given how much I really like this car, and someday it will come to its' demise in it's current form, when that day arrives I plan on working a V8 into it, with a new drive train etc to extend it's life. My wife's uncle builds hotrods, and has shoved a Corvette engine into the frame of a '34 Plymouth so I have no doubt we could put the body of the Cross onto a frame mod at the worst, with a new engine and ECU, and maybe have to make some mods for that.

But by and large I think I'll have this car fo a long time. It would be really fun to start from scratch with it considering that it's paid for, and by that time dead anyway. I would not pull a perfectly good engine now though just to be able to say i have a V8 in it. heck, by the time that happens they'll probably have 400HP V4's that get 50 mpg's!

for FP, in the note above-couldn't agree with you more. Yo have 100 Crosses meet up and they all look alike except for color, while impressive just for that, would be boring indeed.

There should be a spot to vote on the poll that says, the picture is just a red little X, fix it Rudy! LOL

I see the picture buddy. Don't know why you're getting the little red X.

You can see the picture here too. http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/1045/ssbonyx.jpg

Well, it's got a look and a style that works. I like it, not for me, but I can appreciate it none the less. I say go for it, but the caliper color needs to be changed. Silver or black are an easy choice. Oh, LOWER THE SUCKER! Just threw that in because I see it in so many posts, and it does make a difference.

It would look perfect with just 2 small changes.......... Lower the suspension, and change the SSB paint to BLACK.

I agree with this statement but took the middle poll option for one reason - I just don't like the rims.
The other "black-ins" I see, I like.

I think Beaner "hit the nail on the head".

Can see it now.

I would need to see it from some different angles, but I am not sure I am crazy about it....
