Default a new and improved headlight lens - or not

I love her butt, but it looks like they just hung mom's minivan on the front.

I see that a couple of the members have created and marketed modifications for the Crossfire. Good for you. Here's one for you. The head light lens is oh so similar to the Caravan designs - and even the dreaded Sebring - that came out just about the same time as the Crossfire.

What would you think of a lens cover or completely new headlight lens assembly that followed the lines of bumper and grill? That is, a cover that presents an entirely flush continuance of the face of the car's lines and plane across the bumper and hood, from corner to corner across the grill. More or less fill in the odd 'recess' that is created by the current Sebring headlight assembly. Smoke it or keep it clear.

I, for one, feel that this would present one hellofa sleek look across the bow of this dandy little car. Can one of our clever entrepreneurs develop something?

Sorry about the BUMP, but had hoped that our entrepreneurs had seen this and might have some thoughts. Anyone?

I guess I'm on the opposite side of the fence~ I like the "canister" look the headlights already have, but I wish there was a more Euro-style option for the tail-lights. They look too generic to me!!!

ya they are kind boring but i dont want all these companys making different headlights and taillights and scoops. Then we will have those people that think i giant chrome tail lights are cool. And they will be turning our cars into ricers. That just would not be good. So im kinda happy that there is not alot of aftermarket parts yet.

Maybe I didn't describe my idea very well. What I'd like to see is a lens cover (hopefully not an expensive assembly) that fits flush with the lines of the adjacent grill, hood and bumper - a cover that brings the headlight out and fills in that gawdawful Sebring recess. A completely flush plane across the entire grill/headlight would look pretty sleek.

I kinda like the recess.

Im confused so you basically want a giant bug guard that incorperates the headlights to make them look more euro?

OK. I'll try again. Just picked a photo out of the gallery below - see the lighter red outline created by the shadow on the bumper under the head light?... formed by the side of the head light running down and around the top edge of the 'bumper' and back up by the grille? Fill in (actually, cover) the head light with a lens cover flush along this shadow line so that the Sebring 'recess' is eliminated.

Maybe someone with photoshop can help. I think it'd look pretty sleek. Or not.

Now I think I got it.
Kinda like the GT Styiling Headlight covers. Except not tinted so much. Yes?

This is a very rough PS, but are you suggesting something like this?

FP and tighted1

Yeah, that's it. A tinted lens cover over the head light opening - flush from the hood to the bumper shadow line - opaque enough to hide the guts behind it.

Maybe?

You really got me confused, I didn't know if it was the headlight or the bumper. Or putting an eye brow on the car.. Making the headlight come out to the front like FP's visual makes it look like an SUV.

I think FP's got it. Just need a photshop from an angle quartered to the car, with the 'new' lens covering the recess along that bumper shadow line in the gallery picture I posted. Sorry, I'm just an old fart and don't know how to do all this computer stuff like you. This thread has turned into a chat line. oops.

I finally got it. You want something like the new corvettes. Where it is all flush. I think that would be a nice idea but i dont see how you could mount it if one was ever made.

Could be something as simple as the 'ol double-sided tape, or small screw points molded into the lens.

In any event, I still like her butt. Everyone, thanks for your time. I'll leave it to the entrepreneurs.
