I think if the hood logo was painted gloss black too. to match the hood paint, then the all black front would look cool.

I'm with the majority on this.......keep it chrome. Are you chroming the stock wheels? I still like that look a lot. I have some new wheels in mind for spring so I will probably be selling my ASA's which are in perfect/brand new condition.

I think until I see this one produced, not the one with the lip/band going around the grill, I'm sticking with my chrome grill.

elite1 tells me he can produce it.

FP, if you ever figure out how to get this one, let me know. I would be all over that.

That grill is the best I've seen of the aftermarket ones.

Ditto MikeR. I will buy one that looks just like this as long as the price point is not reasonable.

Would be a great Christmas present.

I vote for the elite1 grill.
And cuz it's me (cheap) I agree with the others about the cost. Hopefully just cuz it's for a XF it won't be way expensive.
(Man I'm cheap!)

I like the elite grill a lot but there is one thing that bothers me about it and that is the center spline. I'd like to see it without that. If the price is right this could be a mod for next spring, I'm done this year.

Pat, I wouldn't want it without the spline. I guess different strokes...........

BTW, when I spoke to Elite1, I told him it could not have a wide band going around the mesh.

Hello forum members I'm Elite1 FP approached me with the project, which I think really gives the crossfire character that it already has just to the 2nd power.

crossfiregrille.jpg

I've found a reputable company to take on this project, you've already seen their work T-Rex Billet
54489.jpg

I've been in talks with them and they have agreed to take on this project
stating we do take on custom requests on a case by case basis. Many factors play into if the requests move forward

A minimum order would be required (count on about 8-12 grilles, more getting the price down a little); price would most likely be in the range of our current crossfire grille kit ($695.00)
There is a design time and materials involved to design and proto-type the design. we would need a non refundable deposit to start the project (amount depends on how many orders are committed). There is a minimum 8 hours at $75.00 per hour
We would also need a vehicle to proto-type the grille for about 5-7 days. which they are in corona California any volunteers near Corona California? We have trade show here at the begining of November, so we could not start a project until late Nov/early Dec

We can make a grille similar to the image you provided (we have also had this request before but no commitment from the parties requesting this grille). Let me know where you and the crossfire fourm sit on the above
regards

Consider this project your project crossfireforum you control which direction this will go step by step if you have serious inquirys please list your name
1.Elite1

feel free to ask any question and we will roundtable this project till the end

Just my 2 cents

Hmmmmm.
Cool looking grill for $695 or Dual CAI for $800?

SURE is expensive to play with these cars!
