Anyone had there windshield replaced ??
Anyone had there windshield replaced ??
I am having a new windshield installed tomorrow and the place doing it has never done a Crossfire before.
They have done a lot of imports and high end cars and have a high quality reputation but any advice I can offer them would be greatly appreciated from the members here.
Any problems with removing and replacing the surrounding trim ?
Do you know what holds the trim on and how they removed it ?
And how was the rear view mirror attached to the glass ?
Mine is electronic auto dimming so I'm concerned about this as well.
Sorry for all the questions but I'm concerned a bit as you may guess.

No crack but a thumbnail size chip in the line of vision while driving.

The rearview mirror should not be a problem. That's the easy part. Super glue!

I am happy to say that the new windshield was installed with no issues at all.
The windshield I have now has a stamp on it with the Chrysler emblem and says "Safeguard"
right below it and is right above where the VIN # is displayed on the dash
I had a place named Leiva Glass in Schaumburg,Ill do the work.
They were recommended to me by my State Farm agent who knows me pretty well.
They had only done one other Crossfire before a long time ago.
They allowed me to watch the entire process in there shop and they even took photos for me which I will be posting as soon as I get them by email.
They took great care in every step and demonstrated there experience in doing this sort of work.
As for the final cost ??
I have a zero (0) deductible with State Farm for comp claims so my cost was $0
