Any hints or how-to's for replacing taillight assembly?
Any hints or how-to's for replacing taillight assembly?
I am replacing the right rear (passenger side) taillight assembly. A mental grrrr! resulted in the top third getting shattered, and a new assembly should arrive this week. I'm hoping to do the replacement myself, so any hints or how-to's would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking I would be doing a lot more disassembly work and I'm glad for your note. After comparing that with the arrived part, the swap was (relatively) painless with a minimum of contortion.
Start to finish about 30 min.
Even got a fair deal on the part itself, after a bit of research I found Westgate Auto Parts (http://www.westgateautoparts.com/) and had the part, OEM new in box for $210 delivered in about 3 days. Chrysler wanted $340, $600 installed and had to order the part, 1 week min delivery.
Yeah Chrysler Dealers!!
