Default Driving Light Diffuser

Has anyone noticed the tip of there driving light, defuser, has fallen
off and laying inside the housing. My passenger side has fallen off.
It looks like a bottle cap laying there. My service guy said they
don't cover bulbs under warranty. I said this isn't a bulb, it is a
housing. Still nothing. I check another X-fire today, and both
diffusers had fallen off. They want around $176.00 for new driving
light assemble.
Anyway, does anyone know how to get inside the housing. Maybe it
can just be pushed back on??

Hey Ron!

Fortunately I have not had this happen to my car yet (probably just jinxed myself) but some people have had the dealership replace both Fog Light Assemblies for free. Take a look at this thread an maybe you can ask the dealership for the TSB...I could not find it but they have all TSB's on file. Hope this helps. See you on the next tour!

Grant

I would love to join all of the gang on another GTG, unfortunately I have to work. I am completing my Interniship at the Phoenix Museum of History and I have to be there this weekend for a guided tour. I hope that I can tag along on the next one ( is that the one at PIR)?? Take soem pics. Let me know what the dealership says about the fog lights. Good Luck!

I have looked all over and have not found TSB. I have talked to a few people and dealer changed out without a hassle.. I may have to go to different dealer..

What dealership do you go to? I use one called Airpark Chrysler, up at the 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright. There service is great! If you call the service department, ask for JOHN TUFFERELLI. I go to him everytime I service my car and Jeep.

Grant, thanks for the info. Really appreciate it. I went to Earnhardt Chrysler on baseline and
Rural. They have now move to Baseline and Country Club. My service guy has been
great up to now. I will give your guy a call.. They have a certified crossfire and prowler mechanic.

The dealership I go to has I think 6 different certified Crossfire mechanics. I had the same conversation with my service guy and I am pretty sure he said thay have about 6. So it is not difficult to get the Crossfire serviced there. There is at least one on duty everyday. They sell and service a lot of Crossfire's there.

I just picked up an 05 SRT6 that had the passanger side foglight with the floating refector. I took it to my local dealer Monday and they ordered two new housings to replace mine at no charge. All covered under the warranty.

The light assemblies are covered under warranty, and there is a TSB out on them. The dealer should fix it for free.

I would really like to hear about anyone fixing them on their own, I have no clue how you'd get that reflector back on.

Unbolt the fog light from the car. The fog lamp comes apart at the swivel points. Push the cap back on, clean it and reassemble. Make sure the big O-ring is seated all the way around. 1 hour max time.
