Default Rear difusers finally!

After the deal with Part.com, I called my local dealer, and ordered the part number. The very next day at 9am, they are at the dealer and are correct, I had my buddy check the box before I drove out to get them. Exactly what I wanted. And with tax, they were exactly $4 more than Parts.com.

I painted them with some etching primer, then silver, and now waiting for the clearcoat to dry before I handle them and install.

I was debating whether to remove the rear tow hook. I decided not to but painted it black instead. And also used some high heat black for inside the tailpipes. More to come once they are installed.

Great idea on the inside of the tail pipes.

With the base models not getting the upgraded tips, I might try this mod myself. The base tips do not clean that easily since they are not nearly as polished and shinny as the non-base tips.

Let us know how the paint holds up on the tips.

I also think silver diffusers will look great on your Crossfire. I'm sure you will post a photo when installed.

Someone asked about how these install. Here is a scan of the installation sheet:

Thanks, these are great instructions. All I have to do now is find the fasteners.

My local stealer quoted me over $350 today. I promptly laughed and hung up.

I actually scanned them larger than they appear above. These attachments will print out better for you.

Good luck, James

They are installed but no sunshine on this 4th of July for pics. They fit real well if you do it the way the instructions read. The 'make or break' is how they fit on the upper edge to the body, where you see the most of it. The first one I took off and reinstalled because I thought I had a better way of doing it! Wrong. Live and learn...

Today I got some sun in between the cloud cover. I took these while I had a chance. Some will like them silver and some won't. All that matters is that I got the wife's approval after the install...

That's a great addition to an already seriously good-looking car.

Very nice work,I always thought the back end needed some silver something to kinda balance out the silver wheels and trim ...looks great.

How did you get your exhaust tips to look so good?

Nice job James. Now I know what mine will look like since I have the Blaze Red as well. I'll probably keep mine black for now. One question though. I've always wondered if the original two fins come off. It looks like you took them off but I swear mine seem to be part of the back bumper.

I like the look. Sometimes, I think mine blend in a little "too" much.

The new parts cover over the original fins.
