Default Painted side markers

Does anyone know if painted side markers are available or would it be possible to paint them myself?

I was able to buy painted markers to match the paint color of my M3 but so far I've only found clear markers. Thanks.

I'm interested in this too. I've emailed some area body shops, no response yet.

Unfortunately, I sold the M3 a year ago - a very sad day.

Found a couple posts about some people painting their markers and they liked the results. I'm gonna try it, just sand and spray several coats. I think it will look a bit cleaner than the clears and much better than stock.

They're spraying on numerous layers of paint to cut out the light but if you don't want the light to shine thru just take out the bulb or better yet, if the light shines thru, it might look cool. I don't own an xf yet, is the side marker a turn signal indicator or does it come on when the headlights are switched on? If it's the latter, I would just remove the bulb.

You can tint nthem like you would a window and lose about 50% illumination. Or you could just order two rear (red markers) or two front (yellow) markers and excahnge whichever markers you want to match your car's theme. Good luck.

Just painted them using a black basecoat after I first applied a coat of "adherence" paint to help the basecoat stick to plastic- turned out well even though I lose the light from the side marker.
