Finally found a place to chrome plastic
These folks are in California, but you can ship your items. They seem to be reasonable and have a quick turn-around.
I shipped them a few items today. I'll let you know how it works out.

Re: Finally found a place to chrome plastic
If you want further details on the process you can contact them. I sent them my oil filler cap, oil filter cover, and for the interior, the trim surround for the auto shifter. I don't see it as a high risk. I bought spare parts so I can still drive my car while they finish them. These are all small parts. They have a minimum charge of $20 per part, and they all fall in that category. So $60 to have them done. I'll take the risk, and let you know how they turn out.

These Chrome "Palm Trees" (at a Bar) in Akron Ohio, need to be trasplanted to F.P.'s back yard.
Ooops, the photo didn't upload.
Anyway, take my word for it, they are real, and they're spectacular!
