Exterior Gas Door snapped off

Default Exterior Gas Door snapped off

My exterior gas door snapped off, so the clicking plastic piece is still there, chrysler told me i have to reorder the whole lid and snap piece and it will cost like $300, does anyone know if there is anyway to get the lid to go back on with glue or something elser

yep min done same glue it on with goop brand it works

I tried using another kind of adhesive glue and it didnt work as there is not a flat surface for the lid to glue onto the plastic snappy piece, what kind of glue is goop glue? And did you have problems gluing it on because of not having a flat surface to glue the lid to?>

Scratch both mating surfaces with 80-150grit sandpaper and then put a healthy amount of windshield urethane on, stick them together and use some tape to hold them securely in place. Let cure for 24 hours.
