No. Sorry... it is just an artistic feeling I'm expressing.

Color balance.

The pics uninstalled have lighting that make the center piece look cream colored.
That is why it didn't appeal. I originally thought it was cream colored. lol.

Btw, Max did my hood which I'm ashamed to say I never posted any pics of.

I do suggest taking some pics and dabbling with a photo editor.

Thumbs up Re: Any New Engine Cover paint Jobs?

Very, very nice.

It is nice to keep the engine compartment clean, ain't it?

I put new plugs and wires in the wifes '03 Tahoe (92K) last week and besides scuffing my knuckles a couple of times, I didn't even have to wash my hands!

Now, THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!

At the risk of repeating myself (I posted this to a similar thread the other day)...

I just fitted K&N filters courtesy of Anthony @ TVTDesign (any other Aussies out there want these? - Anthony is half the price of locally purchased, incl shipping!) and took the opportunity to paint up my engine cover (using metallic charcoal grey) and fit a Merc emblem.

Apologies for the quality of the photos - taken with my phone...

Justin

I really like it. It may be too "quiet" for some, but it is tasteful with a capital T. Reminds me of a 20's Bugatti color combination. On the emblems, I prefer the "Limited edition" over the Xtreme. Extreme would meld with shocking color combinations. Your combination is just plain old never out of style classic.

Looks great.
At the risk of repeating myself (I might have asked you this before), where did you get the MB emblem?

Hi - thanks for the compliment.

No - you haven't asked me before - I purchased it off ebay. The seller is "AC-CENTRE ONLINE PARTS SUPPLY", the item was described as "RPLMENT LOGO MERCEDES BENZ BADGE EMBLEM C E S CLASS *S".

Regards

I was thinking of making the chrysler letters on the cover red and to stencil crossfire in red along the intake tubes... finally paint the calipers red with yellow trim as to coordinate!

Wow.

Does it run off 12 volts? I see you've solved the problem of no underhood lights! I could change the spark plugs with that much illumination!

Nice job!

Nice. Simple and clean.

Is that a CAI project in the background, on the floor in boxes? If so, you might have to hang that nice paint job on the wall as art!

And pick up all of those used Q-tips!
