Any New Engine Cover paint Jobs?
Re: Any New Engine Cover paint Jobs?
Max: I finally got to Wal Mart tonight to get the paint pens. Nice selection, thanks for the tip.
I already painted the body with Gray Krylon Plastic Paint, everything but the dome, I will try to post pics when I finish, although with this weather it could be a couple more weeks

I think that would look fantastic!!

Max: I uploaded my photos finally.
I used Krylon Fusion for Plastic Textured Shimmer #2520 Black Spray Paint.
Did use the Elmers paint sticks fron the Chrysler Emblem.....PIA!
Read I'm not that great a detail painter, but I still think it came out fairly well.
Peace
Paul

Here is a pic of my engine cover that I did last year, primed and sanded first......then Krylon paint , silver touch up paint for the letters and gold leaf for the Chrysler emblem and a resin MB emblem at the back. I am currently painting my OEM MB engine cover will post pics when I am done.

I found that with getting older, my eyes aren't what they used to be. I had to bring from work a swing arm magnifier with a halogen light built in. Sure made it easier!

Re: Any New Engine Cover paint Jobs?
Hmm.. mixed fealings.
I don't like the look when it is uninstalled.
But, installed it looks pretty good.
The center chrysler log between the wings is telling me it should have some black & gold/chrome/something to better match the black under the hood.
I do like it, but there is something "flat" and unfinished.
