Hey look. I went to the powerbulbs.com site to check out the X-treme Power bulbs for my main beam (I did the HID conversion to the dipped) and the package actually has a Crossfire on it. That must mean these are good right? OK, anyone know ho long these last compared to std halogens? I don't want to replace them every 3 months.

Well, I just ordered them this morning. From Powerbulbs.com on eBay. ~$30 US all in.

I'll let you know, being a guinea pig and all. I'm just trying to match the 4300K color a bit better.

Smile Re: Replacing Low Beam...

Just wanted to thank all of you for the tips, hints, and instructions on replacing the headlights and tail lights on my xfire. I replaced both low beams and my right rear tail light in about 30 minutes. One question though, a friend had tried to help change them before and in doing so, lost one of the hinged clips and misplaced the black rubber cover. Temporarily, I pushed the low beam into place and used the black cover from the high beam to keep it from falling back out. The light isn't as bright because it's not being held tightly in place, but it works for now.
Do you know where I can buy, or order these two parts?

Sorry. Your best bet is to remove one, take it to a machine shop near you and have a couple made. Won't cost too much.

And get better friends!

I have been using 100watt 6k bulbs as low beams for about a week now. I drive my car for abour 30 minutes almost every night, and I check the headlight assembly for any damages after every single trip. Nothing bad, yet. and I am so happy about the brighter road!
