Default New SRT Owner

Just thought I'd drop in a say a quick 'hi'. Having been doing a month or so of 'R&D' I finally picked up a 55 reg SRT-6 Roadster today. I picked it up from Coleford (nr Chepstow) and took it back to Bristol - typically on one of the heaviest days for rain for bleeding ages!!!

Drove it a little sheepishly to start with, especially with all the surface water around, but managed a quick blast down the M5 where it was mighty impressive.

I'll no doubt be plaguing you folks soon enough with all sorts of questions but for now I think I'll just get back to reading the owner's manual. If this rain relents I'll try and get some pics up.

Hi Laurie,
Welcome, your love this site. Do you fancy a drive to the third Xfire owners meet in your SRT? All details are posted. We have one other lady owner driver(Jean) who will be at the meet on Sat/Sun. Either way your find loads of info and a real friendly bunch of folk and all Xfire crazy.

Ken.

Thanks for the invite, Ken - despite my name I'm all male Blame my parents, I reckon - something to do with a grandparent called 'Laurence'.

As for the meet, I've certainly been up that neck of the woods before. I guess I'll take a look at the weather - if it's anything like what it is looking out the window right now then even with the wipers on their fastest setting today I could barely see a thing

During the month I looked I came across 5 SRT's in the usual places - Autotrader, Ebay, Dealer lists.

Colour aero-blue - one of my friends has a standard Roadster in the same colour and the two of them stood next to each other look pretty cool. Only then you really notice the SRT styling changes.

Hi,
I was on the M25 and A12 last night, and the surface water and spray was horrible. Added to the recent news that a friend of mine was side swiped by a truck (he's OK save for neck/back pain, but his car is write-off), I was feeling a little nervous and giving lorries a wide berth (and getting past them quickly).

I've not seen an SRT other than in photos - I'm looking forward to seeing any which turn up over the weekend.

Congrats on the SRT and welcome to the forum.

That name reminds of the Johnny Cash song, "A Boy Named Sue", great song.
