FOG LIGHT - Conversion
FOG LIGHT - Conversion
Hello all again, my crossfire has arrived at the brandon VPC but it needs to go through customs. i have a very important question.
Do i need to do a light conversion?
Dont the crossfire's already come with rear fog lights? i belive when you turn the **** for your lights to the 3rd turn its 'suppose' to turn on the rear fog lights but mine american
so heres another question.
can i connect something or install a light in the socket?
i really dont want to pay 300 dollars to put an ugly red light underneath my bumper... any adice would be great!

Re: FOG LIGHT - Conversion
You will probaby find all the wiring is there and you just need to do some mods at the lamp fitting end. I'll have a look at the schematics and lamp cluster on mine tomorrow. The UK cars have a fog lamp in the RH lamp and a reversing lamp in the LH, I'm sure you could do something like swaping a reversing lamp bulb for a red 21W and swapping some wires over. Where exactly in the UK are you?
Re: FOG LIGHT - Conversion
hey woody sorry it took me so long. i live in Bury St Edmund which is in Suffolk which is about 40min North of Cambrigde. I am in the military and work at the RAF Lakenheath Base
Also for the UK spec Crossfire, is there a indication that comes on in the dashbaord telling you your rear fog light is on? I am getting it MOT'd tomorrow and i hope they dont make me pay $300 to get a light attached to my car...
thanks again, Clive
