Hi, just wondering if anyone has lengthened there gear change rod,(below the ****)

Don't think anyone has made the shifter any longer, pretty comfortable for me, if higher might have to put a bend back in the rod

just looking as I am trying to make an H shift for the 6 speed manual.

That is what I am hoping to do, but initial measurements need more height to miss the gate.

There is a company that maked a gated shifter, supermile I believe, i don't think they offer it anymore. And had a $350 price tag, might find some pics and info on the assembly, for a good reference.
A gated shifter would be nice, but i like the height the shifter rod is atm, comfortable to me.

I am sure what's you have the rod out, or find one cheap online or at a scrap yard, we should be able to figure it out.
If you have your cover off, measure from where the plate would be to the top of the spring, maybe cut the rod, get a die a thread the rod, put on a coupling nut, and can thread a new rod into the coupling nutt.
Or cut v groove and weld a new rod on, grind smooth.

Several options.
