Default Not starting

I bought a 2006 Crossfire in November. About 10 days later it would not start. I did a little research and found that the trouble is often with the ECM. I had the points soldered and it then ran fine. Now it it is not starting again. Could this be the ECM again already or is it more likely something else? I drove to work without incident. When I left to go to a meeting, it started, went a few feet and then stalled and I haven't been able to restart. I had the battery checked and it was fine. Any suggestion?

I think you mean RCM not ECM. Possibly burnt or bad fuel pump relay inside the RCM.

Would it be good just to replace the whole unit and if so should
I get one from a Mercedes clk instead. I was told that Mercedes did a recall for this issue and Chrysler did not.

Either that or send yours to DJ ( tighed1 ) and he will replace the relay and test.
( all for @ $20 )

( I spent many months in Dayton in training back when I was with NCR,
last September I had my 50th anniversary with :
National Cash Register, then NCR, then AT&T, then NCR again, now Teradata.
Teradata is no longer affiliated with NCR after the split, but my service time rolled over )

We should not assume that it ever was the RCM. There are other parts that work on and off before finally dying.
Does the starter make the engine rotate or not, can you hear a fuel pump when you turn the ignition key to the first position.
Give as much info as you can and you will get better help.
