Hello Everyone

Well I had been enjoying my car for a minute .I went out yesterday and replaced the trans connector bushing.Due to a bad leak. After completing job and adding fluid.Car clunks hard into gear and fails to shift in either mode...Check engine light on.Do I need to Unhook battery and reconnect to re program?Open to advise, and thanks in advance...

then you forgot about all the fluid that has been lost over time, you need a dipstick and more fluid, I can help you with both if you cant find locally

Just wanted you to have two people tell you the same thing. Do not drive till you get the right amount of trans fluid back in it. Rob (Needswings) also had great advice. Your transmission doesn't have a dipstick. You can purchase one at a local Mercedes dealer or from Rob@Needswings.com. Also talk a look at the "how to" articles under the technical section of the forum.

We do not know how much you lost.
Using the dip stick this post shows how high the oil level should be up the dip stick when it has bottomed out in the pan. CLICK
Use the correct oil, not just any transmission oil.

When you reattached the connector did it go on smoothly or did ya haveta "coax" it on?
If the latter you may have done damage to the internal connector.
