04 nt 97k first year of problems......

changed sparkplugs and seafoam and oil recently.

cel came on after I noticed a knock in idle.

Yesterday it stalled after start following an immediate start up.

autozone came back with code related to the maf

bought crc. Question is can I use it to clean the maf and the throttle body?
I also cant seem to find a tutorial here for either.

my washer fluid canister is leaking as well. Where can I find a replacement?

I need a fuel filter. Where can I find the best one?

Never had the tranny serviced...is it too late to change the fluid?

Struggled and got the maf off. Where is the throttle body? It thought it was right there!

 

Look through this PDF, the throttle body is identified.

 

Got the elbow off. Throttle body exposed. I have no tb cleaner tho...bummer....stuck at the house until the wife gets home so i can go get some. Tutorial online says the MAF cleaner "may or may not" clean/damage the tb if used....makes me mad lol.

 

Was the washer fluid tank leaking after you filled it? The tank will only hold one gallon of fluid when the light comes on. If you try to top it off before the light comes on it usually gets over filled and runs out the bottom of door and fender onto the ground. it was topped off when i went for the oil change. went back thinking it wasnt done. they told me it was leaking. they topped me off again...within a week i had nothing to spray....bummer.

I appreciate the link. will order that today. autozone and oriely do not carry the good filters.

sprayed my tb with crc tb cleaner....wiped it out good too.....picked up some gunk brand heavy duty engine cleaner and shine (2 step process) because my engine cleanliness is non existent. never cleaned one before other than wiping down with water. I hope its safe to just spray wash and go....anything i should be careful with?

 

Connected the hose to the grey tube from my "what the heck is this" thread and cleaned the maf and throttle body with crc.....NICE strong rev and good idle after.....scary at first because it struggled to turn over when it was all hooked up.....disconnecting the battery so i can reset the CEL.....

Still need help with those things in RED below....thanks to all who have contributed!

You should have the tranny fluid and filter changed. I would remove the washer fluid tank and see how bad the leak is. You might be able to fix it rather than buying another one. Here are some washer fluid tanks on ebay. crossfire windshield washer tank | eBay
