Default Correct filter for 05' Crossfire Limited?

The replacement air filters for my 2005 Crossfire Limited arrived today, and the labeling on the filter itself gave me pause. The filter looks the same and has similar coding to the original (I believe) and also seems to be the spec for the equivalent Mercedes model. Is this the correct filter for my Crossfire?

They're the exact same filters both made by Mann. One is just stamped with the M/B p/n and the other with the generic Mann p/n. You'll also find these other compatible filters work just as well. Just go with the cheapest one, cause most are rebranded Manns. Or buy a set of K&Ns and be set for life.

CHRYSLER USA 05098424AA, 05098424AB
FIAT GROUP (ALFA/FIAT/LANCIA) K05098424AB
MERCEDES-BENZ (DAIMLER AG) 112 094 03 04
PUROLATOR A45443
HASTINGS AF1286
FRAM CA9689
WIX FILTERS 42822
CARQUEST 87822
MANN C 2861-2

Thanks for the help syfi. I figured it was a labeling detail. I considered the FRAM but figured the extra savings not really worth it in the end. I might eventually go K&N, but for the moment the Crossfire will stay pure OEM (except for the steering damper, the tires, the etc., etc...)

Hi, just a question, beside the oem filter. Has anyone tried aftermarket drop in filters like knn, AEM and the like? I was thinking of getting one from 4wheelonline, but before getting one I would like to know how it would perform to our engine.

I took my K&N's out last oil change. The trouble of cleaning them wasn't worth the hassle, plus there's always the "did I put enough fluid on them or not enough? ".
