Default Looped Fuel Rail?

After reading on the MBworld forum and talking with some of our members I wanted to see if anyone was interested in polling some feedback on what they thought about looped fuel rails and if they thought there was a benefit and why or not and why.

Claims have been made about equalizing fuel pressure across the two rails and from front to back of the rails as well as adding fuel volume in the rail.

This isn't necessarily with other fuel system upgrades.

Some V8 and V6 FI engines are known for lean running cylinders at the front/opposite side from the fuel delivery site to the rail. Looping/increasing ID (capacity) fixes that issue just fine.

If ones fuel pump is up to the task.

How hard could it be ?
A tee at the input connector, an additional hose to another tee at the fuel pressure test point ........
Sounds like a $50 kit .....

( Max, Grainger should have all the necessary parts )

I'm thinking the T at the test point but some way to connect it to the blind end , you want equalized flow. Have to look into this, maybe $75 or so.

It has already been done and tested. 32Krazy had one on his car. I agree with Max on this one. I will add one not so much for performance but to equalize pressure in the fuel rail....

I'm running the looped rail, and have been doing so for almost 2 years. I think of it as more a safety measure than a performance mod.

Did you send in your rail to have it modified or just afterwards as a core? Did the TTM passenger side looped connection bolt right up to your Zex FPSS or did you have to put in some off set connections to make it fit out at an angle like that?

There is info about fuel rail mods but not much about increasing the fuel supply line, any links or experience with this?

Everything bolted right up. As for the FPSS, I connected it by adding an inline manifold, which in this case was just a female to male connector with a 1/8 or 1/4 NPT for attaching the FPSS.

Below is a pretty version of the manifold, as opposed to the ugly brass fitting I found locally.
