Question Help - supercharger sounding unhappy - need a garage to look at it

My poor car sounds like a bag of spanners, local garage says supercharger needs replacing but they can't get the parts and I'm not sure they want to do the work - looking for someone who can take a look and help diagnose whats actually wrong with it and fix it (someone suggested it may only be the bearing/s): anyone know of a good garage in the South East (Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire) I cna take it to?

Please take a video of the supercharger while the engine is running and post the link. Maybe we can diagnose the problem.

Could be the pulley. When my pulley wore out it sounded alarming and rattled like an old diesel. I'm in the wrong neighborhood to make a shop recommendation. Check the supercharger pulley before spending on parts.

give us some more info to work with there. we do carry the sc bearing s and replacement oil on our website if that is what you need.

My supercharger is always unhappy..... whining all the time.lol you know you wanted to say it.

Good luck with the repair, nothing else to offer.

kinda looked like the tensioner pulley was not spinning at 1:04!

I don't think it is the supercharger itself as it will not be engaged while idling or in Park/Neutral.

I don't think it's the supercharger either but I couldn't guess which pulley or accessory is making the noise. I wonder why there's water on the pan under the engine though.

I am with Tunaglove, it looks like the tensioner pulley was not moving but I am looking at this on my iPhone...so.

If a pulley is not turning expect smoke and a burnt belt.
How long does a belt last on a pulley that does not turn? I have had it and the answer is not long at all, may be two minutes at idle if you are lucky.

Must have been a loose belt..

compressor locked on my pickup at idle.. about 30 seconds is what I got.
