I'll be bringing Corky a check PIF when I drop off my XF.
Looking forward to 20 Jan 2012!

Hi guys, happy New year! If you have sent the deposit, please take a look at the list in Post #1 and let me know if you are not marked paid. BEGi received a deposit we cannot identify by screen name from CA. It might be from someone who is not active on here but has followed the thread which is fine. BEGi is getting a lot of calls from people who are not members on here but are following our progress. if you are following this thread and not a member, we hope you will join and say hi!

BEGi also mentioned this project in their recent new letter!

I was wondering if anyone has shared this project with our m112 brethren on mbworld. Wouldn't this kit work on slks that used the r170 platform? Maybe a little tweaking here and there.

Lantana,
While I'm marked as paid on the list (#7), I did receive a responce from Stephanie requesting forum I.D. Pretty sure I included that with check and additional info requested. Hopefully I cleared it up with my responces to Stephanie AND Corky too.

Haha yes, the city of lights and excitement .... I just checked my account and the check has cleared/been cashed by BEGi as of yesterday at some point. I also have chatted with her over PM's and gave her all necessary information.

So Stephanie, I will receive a receipt soon right?

Josh, Bob,
Okay, it's probably me then as my check was sent 12/27/11 and hasn't cleared as of this morning. Corky emailed me last night confirming receipt of check yesterday and addressed the questions I had included. Stephanie also responded to the same questions and emailed me a receipt as well as request for some additional info/verification of car equipment/mods, etc.

Edit:
If you received a receipt then Im guessing they have the intention to cash it at least. Hopefully she will jump on here today to confirm for you, and send my receipt. If not then we may need to PM her/call BEGi.

I am sure it could be adapted to the SLK320 but there aren't many SLK320's. Seems most people prefered the SLK230 or SLK32. From what I can think of, the SLK has the muffler in a different location and they have less room behind the grille for the charge pipe/intake. Stephanie mentioned she is getting quite a few calls from Crossfire owners that are not members of the forum.

Stephanie needs to tell them to join, with more people on the forum comes more ideas for modding

Does a bypass valve make any sound like the BOV?!???

I do know that he will also be running a bypass valve and not a blow off valve. If you have concerns, I am sure he would love to hear from you. Feel free to give him a call. After all the conversations I have had with him, I don't have a single concern. He has been doing this a very long time. I also know that he is capable of producing a kit iwth OEM fit and performance.

It would not be audible like a BOV, the air is getting recycled back into the intake path instead of wasted into the atmosphere. I don't know the exact differences but basically if there is a noise it will be happening inside the intake pipes not out into the engine bay. I prefer it without the sound really, much more sleeper that way. For those that want to advertise the turbo it can be done easily with a badge or something instead of hissing around the grocery store parking lot (I do like the sound unfortunately it has been ruined for me by people throwing BOVs on every econobox with a turbo.)

Corky sent me an email last night saying he and his wife were having lunch with his daughter and son in law in Blanco and accross the street were 6 Crossfires at a Dairy Queen. Corky said he went and introduced himself. Sounds like he stumbled on a Crossfire GTG?

Hey Bob,
Yep it was the CTC group out terrorizing the central Texas back roads Sunday. We stopped in Blanco for a snack and was about to break up when he came in.

Hello Folks!

It's been a while since I've been on the forum. I blew out my distal bicep tendon while working on the house and had it "repaired" the day before Thanksgiving. It's a pretty gruesome surgery when viewed on youtube but an out-patient procedure nonetheless. My parents gave me a lift home after a couple of recovery hours at the surgery center. When I got here I literally fell out of their van. Result, I broke my wrist on the other arm! Needless to say I haven't been dong much of anything. I live alone and it's been tough enough doing the basics without getting on the computer.

This and the original subject posts are my first reads since November. It's great to see that the turbo is going to be a reality. This project was something I was interested in from the get-go and I had the money to get in early. Unfortunately, the funds that would have paid for this project (and some) are now earmarked for medical bills. I haven't seen it mentioned but is there a cost projection for kits in the future, say 6 months to a year from now?
