Hey guys, I have updated post #1 and added payment information for paying by check, Paypal or credit card. I have also marked paid to those who have already sent deposits. Let me know if I have missed anyone. Have a great New Years! 2012 should be a great year for normally aspirated Crossfires

Well.....if we ever saw snow..... LOL. We did get about 2" of snow and ice last year. My Miata was not sissy! I even did donuts in the taxi way across the street. Fun times, even thought I would not want to drive it all the time on ice. I imagine that traction is better with no turbo.

2012 will be awesome for N/A crossfires!!!! I just hope the fun is enough to distract from the seriously ugly things that are expected of this next year. .....

Since you guys are located at an airport, how long is the runway? Ever use it to drag race?

Very true doc....

Also, do we know what some of the selectable parts may be for the turbo? I remember something about the price will vary depending on options to add or subtract from the total for the kit. Are we talking muffler/engine cover/boost guage/etc?

Had a nice DD, never wanted to drive anything but the XF though. Maybe people with Miata's dont have quite the addiction we do I can not give up my car for a day much less several months (we also have a large AWD SUV when snow gets deep) and even in the winter it is generally cleaner than most keep theirs in the summer....

Sounds like you all have everything covered then. I was able to get the eibachs, konis and camber arms in myself so I feel I am up to the task of putting this together but will need to think about it a bit longer before committing. I'm finding it hard to find a reason not to though other than the lighter wallet :P

I wouldn't call this the "holy grail" but just a very good start to realizing this car's true potential.

I'm just really referencing the "at least" 4 year quest to get a turbo charge system for them. Thread I linked (if you didn't look) has a crosssfire on a lift with a rear mounted turbo and then just drops dead.

They probably had tons of interest, but when it came time to pay the piper, everyone claimed hard times. Happens quite a bit here over the years I've been on this forum LOL

Actually, I sent that picture to Corky prior to him ever looking over a Crossfire. The kit in the picture is STS and not that expensive as a universal kit. I contacted STS and the biggest problem was that they would only sell harware pieces and you were on your own to fabricate and tune it. The tuning part is what scared eveyone away. No one know if the car on the rack ever run and neither the car or the owner has ever surfaced. The only STS kit that has worked on a Crossfire that anyone has ever heard of is the twin charge SRT.

Yeah between side strakes and carbon fiber hoods I've kinda caught a little of that. Oh, and feel free to slap a "paid" by my name on the list for deposits Lantana.. figure it can't hurt for people stopping in to see we're jumping feet first into this!
