Default K&N Filters For Merc Engine Cover

I have searched for the part number for the K&N filters that fit the Mercedes Engine cover, the two piece one, and have failed.
Does anyone have the number handy?
I hate asking but just this one time maybe I can be excused.

Nobody knows? Nobody cares?
I have a number now and I just want it confirmed.

Dave, sorry I can't help, but most of us after performance have jumped right over the K&Ns to a true cold air intake (and as you know, some of us jumped into the hot air intake, ebay market LOL)

I think I have the info you need Dave. My Son got me a pair for Christmas from Advance Auto. I just put them on recently & saved the empty boxes to put my orig. Xfire filters in for storage.

Advance SKU # 17403004

Mfg. # (K&N) 33-2290

My Son said they were hard to comeby from Advance. They were shipped to me one each from Charlotte N.C. & Phila. Pa. to fill his order.

Crossfireone

This is the number of the K&Ns I'm using now. I was trying to find the original XF paper type just so we could do a DYNO run to find out the diiference adding the K&Ns would make. I have also now added the 74mm TB since, I would have to remove it and put the 68mm back on so we could make a run with it too. I hate to have to buy a set of filters I'm not going to use but once. I was hoping to find a set that wasn't too dirty just to make a run on the DYNO.

That number (33-2290) is for the OEM Crossfire replacement.
I am looking for the filters that fit the Mercedes engine cover A 112 090 1501.
The front part of this two piece cover is part #112 010 0467. I added this in case someone looks up.
I think the K&N number is 33-2181. I just wanted to make sure.
I am adding the Merc engine cover, K&N's, 74 mm TB and the larger MAF #A 113 094 0048.
I have to sort out the intake tubes as yet. I may have to lash something together for the tune.

Yeah I know, but I do not like the look. I'm not out to race or anything like that. Just a little boost will be cheaper than an SRT6.

Has anyone cut the opening through the radiator support on both sides to get a bigger air tube through it? If anyone has, any problems, how hard was it to cut, etc. I would like to get a three inch tube on each side and mate either to the original XF ire aire box or a MB airbox that has more volume. I guess I should consider a new MAF that is larger as well and mates to the larger air box. Anyone know the P/N of these items?

Look up.....
As to cutting, I do not think anyone has cut into this structural member. They have squeezed silicone hoses through the holes after removing the plastic moldings the OEM intakes fit to. I think these may be two different sizes of tube but I'm not too sure, I'll search for that info, or a friendly member may know and post. Beaner?

You are correct sir. I have the MB cover with TVT tubes and these are the filters I put in.

The passenger side will accept a 3" silicone hose, the drivers side I believe is smaller, maybe 2.5". I can't remember the exact diameter on that side.

Thanks for the info, just knowing you can get a 3 inch tube in on the pass side is good. Just looking at a way to get more cold air.
