All the "rusty nuts" on my car have been broken and replaced... I am guessing a few knuckles were injured during the process (sorry guys).

My excuses are...
- It came that way
- Must have happend when I was not looking
- Sabotage
- Used a little too much de-greaser
- Winter road conditions

I'm gonna make a prediction:

1/4 mile ET: 10.97 sec

And that's only if Rudy and Paul are leaving the 55 AMG engine unmodded. If you add a tune, intake, pulleis, whatever else, you're looking at less.

Of course, that all assumes that you can actually get the car to stick at the launch without snapping all sorts of important parts. LOL

Damn. I really want one of these engine swaps.

How difficult are these cars with the swaps to work on, compared to the 55AMG ... is there enough room to fix something that will inevitably go wrong on any car? Or will you need to pull the engine?

Great mod ... maybe one day

I'd thought that Rudy listed it previously at about $20k, but I guess not ... more pennies to save up

i had the privledge of seeing pauls car at the dragon gtg. from what i can see the fan will need to come out for any kind of pulley work. from the back and sides of the engine it looks as tight as the oem . i had to jack the motor to do mounts and the exhaust manis are a pain no matter what engine. plugs may be a bit tight but easier than a ls3 in a miata!!

No I haven't seen it in person. I found it on flickr while looking at XF pictures. Here is the link that will explain it for you

The rear and sides of the engine are the same as OEM. When I installed my V8 I installed the engine with no accessories on it, not even a water pump, alternator, radiator, or fans. I wanted to make sure the car was serviceable, which it is. It is a tight fit but everything can be serviced just fine. There NO wasted space with the V8 conversion.

Open up a P.O. box number in a county/state that doesn't do emissions register the car there. THen have fun! Thats how street legal hot rods do it in emission towns.

here is the latest update,,,,a lot, well most of you know i am getting a 5.5 amg v8 motor and tranny installed into my black crossfire srt6.. here are some of the details,
I contracted with Rudy and Paul of accelerated industries to do the trun key operation,( transplant)
I shipped my car to Wi in Dacember 2010
Paul had a hard time finding me the engine i want,, he found it and he will get it for me in the middle of Jam 2011
the rear (wavetrac) i am hoping is done before the car is finished so Paul and Rudy can install it.
I contacted patrick( pte), and had him build me a 180 therostat for the 5.5 v8, and he is shipping it to Rudy today
Rudy is working on the lettering for the rear deck of the car.
the intake maniflods, and the intake will be teflon coated black the valve covers will be silver.
Rudy has some peformance parts that he will install,, like pully tune, some exhaust tricks so i can use some the srt6 exhaust.
I also purchased the wheels and tires from Rudy's srt6 before he sold it.
i have two sets of drag radials to use ,,313 35 17 and or 255 50 16 will test them both the best for the ve i keep as both with the 6 got me 12.20 ET.
now we wait!
