I am selling a MagnaFlow exhaust system for a 2005 Crossfire for $350. I have had it on my for about 1 1/2yrs. It is currently on the car so if someone is interested they can come by to see how it sounds before they purchase it. I love the sound and power it gives the car and the only reason why I am selling it is because I am taking off all my mods off my car to return the car back to stock. I am looking to sell it to someone near Orange County California so I don't have to worry about shipping. I still have my stock set up so I will not need yours...

I didn’t think magnaflow made a cat back for the srt, I think that is for the N/A but you made it fit, i'm fairly certain we have 2.5 inch pipes on our car

 

I got it installed at Project Import. To be honest I don't know how they installed it but I do know they had to create a resinator delete or somethign like that. They charged me $200 to install because of this delete, I called them yesterday and they said it would be $160 to uninstall and install my stock exhust. It fits and works great because mine is an SRT-6. I am not sure if it will work on a non SRT-6.

 

you lost hp by using that more restrictive than stock exhaust on your srt6, you made it slower than a stock srt6.

 

Don't you have the magnaflow on yours? Im half thinking your just being funny again lol

 

Photoman has just the muffler installed on the car and it's a different muffler with bigger pipes. The cat back like I was saying earlier is for the n/a not the srt. I would not recommend installing the catback on the srt

 

Ahh there you go, I guess they were designed for the N/a model for a reason.

 

It seems faster but then again may be it's just because the sound make it feel faster . Good info guys I really appreciate the feed back. I guess If someone has an N/A this would be a great deal but if the person has an SRT-6 this might not be what they are looking for.

 

You actually may have gotten a slight increase (and when I say slight I mean that) on your low end torque from the increased back pressure from the smaller pipes

 

yeah the sound is good i bet and it does create a placebo effect. why do you think all those harley guys think they are fast lol

I bet someone with a NA crossfire will be interested in your exhaust.

i do have a magnaflow muffler but it has the larger pipes on it so it does flow better than stock. i gutted the rear cats too.

 

Only problem is his pipes might have been modified by the installer to accomodate the Maganaflow to an SRT. Magnaflow only makes a system that fits the N/A. One wont fit the other. His system will have to go on another SRT???

 

Either way i am having the system taken off Next week so I will ask if it was modified and if so I can ensure they return it back to the original setup. On the track the exhust showed an improvement but then again I race an 8th mile so it may be too short of a distance to tell, may be once it gets up in a higher gear in a race there would be a differance .

 

Did you notice much of s sound/power difference from gutting your cats? I'm planning on replacing my rear cats with magnaflow xpipe. I've always been annoyed at having 4 cats.

what times do you run in your srt6 in the 1/8?

 

@ mrphotoman :Last Friday I ran a RT .613, ET 9.796 @78.80 MPH. This was with no back tires, not being able to hook and having to do a slow roll on acceleration. I just got 4 new tires put on so once I take the exhaust off I want to go take it for a run.

Very cool. So it fits with out any mods on an SRT. The one they sell for the N/A is a cat back system so there is some pipe with it and its a dual muffler setup. Glad there is something available for the SRT.
