So these are for non SRT cars?

 

Yep, for N/A not SRT.

 

What are the options for an SRT?
My goal is a little more sound, but keep (re-use) my stock tips.
I like the "euro" sound of the Ansa.......

 

The Ansa has a smaller diameter inlet than the SRT.
I recommended you remove your resonator for a deeper throatier sound.
I have heard other SRT's with the resonator removed and they sound really good ...mellow deep sound.

 

Well, it may not be for an SRT, but it sounds great on my SRT.

You will notice on this picture, that the inlet has 3 stages. The muffler guy had to cut it back to the 3rd stage and then weld a pipe to it, but it worked perfectly, and I get so many compliments on the sound. When I am WOT at the track people say it sounds like a jet engine.

I stand corrected....
I got mine from an SRT owner here who bought it and was told the inlet was to small.
As a result of that he sold it to me brand new and in the box.

 

Yeah, I got mine off EBay as NOS for $105 including shipping. It was too good of a deal to pass up, so I took a chance on it. I figured I could easily sell it if it did not work. I am very happy with it on my car. I look forward to some comments on it at the Dragon.

Did I totally miss the price?

Took the Crossfire to a local shop today, A to Z Muffler and Shock to have the Ansa installed and my new steering dampener installed. The shop installed my muffler in less than 45 minutes. The owner took time to ask questions about the car and was very engaged with process. He even let me put the steering dampener on while he was bending the pipe for the muffler.

I would without hesitation recommend the shop for any one in Indiana of Illinois that the drive would not be out of the way.

The sound of the Ansa is amazing. For anyone on the fence, if you want your Crossfire to sound like more like a traditional European sports car I would recommended the muffler.

 

I have a line on an ANSA muffler #UN7817, Silverline/Stainless. It has 2.5" inlet, dual outlets 3", 14.5" body length, 24" overall, and 8.5" x5" cross section. Anybody know if this size is OK for NA Crossfire? Thanx for help in advance.... Howard
