Question Oil Catch Can Questions

Installed my Needswings Oil Catch Can yesterday, which went smoothly in no small part to the excellent how-to provided here.

My question is to those that have installed one.....How often do you need to empty the catch can (and what is the capacity since the can is chambered)? And....What happens if it fills up?

I realize driving habits will influence the answer to the first question, but just looking for an average guestimate.

I have had my N/W catchcan installed for about 4 or5 months and emptied it(for the first time) just before going to the Dragon 3 weeks ago and I got maybe 1/3 cup of oil goop out of it so unless you have a serious problem every 4 or 5 mounths should suffice, IMO eNJOY THE RIde

we usually pull 1-2 ounces out of it per oil change, the can itself will hold 6-7 ounces before it fills up the lower chambers. drain it at every oil change and you will be good to go

the first drain takes the longest as all the surface area of the inside fo the can and filtering media needs to be coated with oil. i bet ya get at least an ounce worth in 2k miles from the last time ya drained it

Colder weather promotes more condensate. This is a neat thing as you can see with your eyes that there is a difference, crud not going into the supercharger and impellers, oh yeah. Woody
