I didn't miss the point at all...I always hope people are successful with their attempts to find more HP...but to bash an SRT because it comes with the HP built in, then call someone a pos because we try to find more HP out of what we already have is just rude...and anytime, anywhere, my friend...I'll be glad to take on your project car... at whatever name calling you want to bring...and whatever racing you want to do, top end, round track, or drag racing...if you think all we do is add a pulley and go fast, then we are done, you haven't studied enough....I'm done with this thread and you...popcorn is all gone. This old guy has enough people to be pissed at without adding another to the list...good luck ...LOL Sorry, Matt, Steve, Tom...you know how I am

Grrr Doc, you ruined a perfectly good thread that had been put on a good topic, slapping girls asses to say hello...but yes, we do know how you are.
All I know is you carry a gun at your job, and I don't...so you win.

Wow.. You most certainly are not my friend In fact, I'm starting to think that you don't like me.

I'm glad however, to hear that you have turned your crossfire into such a supercar and are such an accomplished driver.

Good luck and stay safe,

Bill

Well, unfortunately I have no progress to report. I got hit with a double whammy of sickness and have been down really hard. In fact, I'm missing another week of work and burning up the rest of my vacation time on the couch!

One thing you may want to consider is using a SRT6 ECU. The n/a Crossfire ECU cannot read boost. If you can get your hands on a used SRT ECU and then send it to Beckmann Technologies, they will unlock it so that you can program to your car. Cost to unlock is $250. Once you have electronics that can deal with the boost you may not need any other electonics such as piggy back systems. LET motorsports can fine tune the ECU if needed. You can get used ECU's pretty cheap since they are considered worthless since they store the donor vehicle VIN and antitheft data making it impossible to put a used ECU in a different car. Most people don't know they can be unlocked (returned to virgin) and programmed to a different car. This is basically the approach I am taking to get a V8 running in my car. If this approach works I don't think it makes much difference how the boost is made, such as Rotrex, turbo, or even bolting on a SRT6/SLK32 supercharger. If bolting on a OEM supercharger pulley's should be changed to limit boost to about 7.5lbs. 7.5lbs with the n/a higher compression should make some really good HP. Good luck and keep us posted. It is only a matter of time before we see a bunch of n/a Crossfires boosted. I will be looking to boost my V8 once I having it running. I don't think I will have the room for a Rotrex or turbo under the hood but have my eye on the STS rear mounted turbo. If I can get my V8 running like it came with the car, I would then install the turbo and switch to an ECU from a E or CL 55 Kompressor.

Thumbs down Grumpy f-ers

The way I see it, there are alot of grumpy a$$ members on this forum whom have nothing better to do than bring negativity to one's goal(s).

The way I see it oledoc2u started the rant and pretty much got pissed that Rotex guy stood up for himself. To that I say "oledoc2u- f-u, grow up."

How old are you 55 or 5 cause you're acting like a typical Crossfire forum a$shole. If you (or anyone for that matter) took his vague comment about owners who install pullies a hit then you've got issues.

It's no wonder why so many people who have started projects like this have just up and left.

OK ok ok... just let this go. Let the guy do his install and we can all see how it goes...everybody go to their corners and wait for results before they come out swinging...this is getting a bit ridiculous...chill.

lantana, you bring up a great point... i had not heard of re-virginizing the ECU, i thought once the proverbial cherry was popped it was scarred with a vin for good...
