Brian you've done a very nice job. It looks GREAT. How hard are the silver hose covers to put on?

It's actually really easy - I used the Stainless Steel Braided Kit from Spectre (P/N 7498) that was on sale at Kragen for $43. I needed extra hose covers for the intercooler lines and vacuum lines so I purchased a few more rolls direct from Spectre. I covered every hose for less then $100.

I used electrical tape to secure the ends (they get covered by the hose clamps) but then switched to the metal foil tape I purchased when I wrapped my intercooler. Wear some mechanic gloves (but you'll still get poked a few times) I used a old set of Fisker scissors to cut the braid to size. Purchase some good hose clamps to replace the OEM squeeze type.

I assume you have to disconnect the hoses first? If so what fluids to you have to refill?

Yes - you need to remove the hoses you wish to cover and then refill with engine coolant when your done - (distilled water & Anti-freeze)

I don't want to bore you with more of my engine bling, but I have one more modification.
Max (maxcichon) suggested a change for my intake covers, and I agreed with him. He's fabricated rounded covers for me. Take a look. I think Max did a fantastic job again.

Thanks Max.

Here's mine, nothing real special except you don't see all the relay's & wiring that turns off fuse's 17 & 18, for the fans, HE temp gauge, wiring for the LED indicator lights or the seperate circuit to turn on the I/C pump.

I really like the intakes that you have on here...I looked on Spectre Performance's website and they don't have a Crossfire application (that I could find at least). What was the P/N or application you used? I'm guessing they somehow bolt up to the stock airbox and you just removed the panel filters? Did the application come with filters or are those K&N's or something? Any information would be great!! Thanks!!

Does anyone else have a similar setup by a different manufacturer?

Thanks, buddy!

You have to bend the negative battery cable DOWN 90 degrees to clear the edge of the cover. You don't want it to abrade through!

Lookin' good!

Very nice Manny, do as Max tells you with the battery cable. He does great work for a reasonable price, doesn't he?
