Show us your Engine bay
Re: Show us your Engine bay
If you search my posts, you will find that I found a different solution to the Catch Can. And since I did a modified version of Tighed1s' belt wrap, I need a modified version of the pulley guard, which I am working on. Since my stroke, I couldn't drop and give you 1. I am pleased that you noticed no catch can, most don't notice.

Re: Show us your Engine bay
You said most don't notice "No oil catch Can", that's because every engine bay is exactly like the others! What ever happened to individuality. After being away from the site for nearly 2 seasons the only differences I am seeing is the color of Krylon people are buying.
I've run mine over 170mph and to this point that has been one of the least needed upgrades...

No Krylon in mine! It's pretty hard to do much when you are limited to the few aftermarket parts available. Thank God for Rob (Needswings) and a few others or we wouldn't have anything. Still, there are some nice bays, RMcDaniel has a really nice Gold and Black one, there are a few Red ones that look good, too. I tried to make mine unique with the alternating blue and silver and bolts, and I handmade my grills and have CF looking covers on the fuse box and computer box. Brushed intake duct work is a bit different also. Maybe I should use gold and platinum plating? LOL
Re: Show us your Engine bay
That's nice! Did you do the 74mm throttle body upgrade? How did you construct the extender from th MB air box? Are those the MB intake flex tubes?
Assume you did a Eurocharge tune too. What do you think of performance gain?

If you wanted comments I think others were loathe to tell you the truth and kept quiet. Sorry but I think you knew this already.
Re: Show us your Engine bay
Oh please don't hold back! Comments are always welcome, whether I like them or not. Whats the point of posting stuff if people are afraid to comment on them? I haven't decided yet what I am going to do with it, I am unsure if the cover was originally black. I am wondering if I can remove the current paint, and wrap it, or dip it. Or just buy a different cover all together.
Re: Show us your Engine bay
Nice looking engine cover. Curious if the front sections were left undone on purpose? Or maybe it's part of the look & there really is some sort of paint in those areas? Sorta looks like it up close. Looks somewhat odd considering how the rest of the cover looks..

I just replaced the Varta in my 2007 Coupe this past spring. Installed a Duracell Ultra purchased from BatteriesPlusBulbs.

I also looked at your User Gallery. The "mood lighting" inside the XFire looks very nice. Previous owner really liked green! I can't argue as I own a 2012 Fiesta SE Hatch in Lime Squeeze Metallic. I actually wanted a green Fiesta when I went looking. And the car has the optional mood lighting and guess what - I have it set to green! Hah!

Re: Show us your Engine bay
The M-B engine cover really is more "classy-looking" than the Chrysler cover. Maybe Daimler insisted on that when they agreed to produce the Crossfire. Strange, in so many other aspects, the Crossfire was a "classier-looking" car than the SLK 320 R170 chassis it was based on.
