Glad to hear that.......you'll have to share the pics with us who couldn't attend in CO so we can see what we missed. Next time we get together.

Nice! What type of pen/spray did you use for coloring the letters?
Also, I am trying to get hold of the engine badge, but no look. Is it SRTSIX or who is it that sells them?
Planning on a DCAI? what color for the tubes?

Thanks. I used Rust-Oleum Engine Enamel 500 Deg F. I used Q tips to apply the paint and sprayed the paint into a container and dipped the Q tips in there. I got the Engine Badge from SRT SIX but recently I was able to get my hands on a actual AMG plaque, which I haven't installed yet but I set it on the SC for the picture. I haven't decided if I will actually put it on there yet. As far as DCAIs, I still have questions about them and recently posted a thread about my concerns. I kinda like the stock look of the intakes on our cars with the engine cover. I would love more hp of course but I'm not sure I'm willing to change the look for the performance yet. I will definately do the dual intakes if I decide to make a change though.

Thanks for the info. Is there a good website where to buy this? I like the stock look as well but what you could do is to have the tubing black and still use the cover. Just saw some of the cover off and voila.

Also, what colors did you chose? there were a lot to choose from on Amazon. Chrysler industrial red?Low gloss black?

Should have said Hello. Good luck with the crossfire.

I am not trying to break your *****, but your air filters being where they are is more than likely hurting performance, not helping it, because it is sucking in hot engine bay air. This is why almost every CAI you see here has full tubing to fresh air, generally through the grille.

I hope this thread is still going - I see it started in 2008! I have gone through every page an seen some amazing bays, very detailed!

I have now geared myself up to customize mine. I will look at getting air filters and pipes fitted soon, however I want to know what paint you are all using?

I have painted bumpers before i.e. Sanded, Primed , then 500 coats of paint bla bla bla but Do the covers not get hot and would I need special paint?

Darn everyone with there MB covers - They look so good!
