You all going to have a hard time test driving with the new part . Put aside the beer, drink some NOS and right when you're done, you can go see if you can feel the new 8 HP!

 

My install was a 3 beer job - a home made brew - an Irish stout style (very good if I say so my self - about 5.5% ABV)....problem was I got done and had forgotten to re-mount the re-located horn... - 2 mins later, all was well. I took my time - probably and 90 mins start to stop w/2 cell phone interruptions and 2 runs to the fridge.

 

i thought when this group buy started that there were around 20 intakes ready to ship? will some of these ship in the next day or so? my track day is saturday morning next week so i will need mine by wednesday so i will have time to get it on since i work long days and i leave for the track at 7am next saturday. i only get to go to the track once about every 2 months since it is 3 hours away.

 

From what I gathered there were 20 already bent. Then they needed to be powderscoated. I guess the powdercoating guy didn't get back to him by the time the remaining ones were bent so Rob decided to do the powdercoating all at once and ship all at once.

 

Is it too late to get in on this group buy?

 

i had 20 intake tubes already bent before we started the group buy, i then waited until i saw the first 20 orders to determine what split to make them into (srt6 or na), those then went to powdercoat, i had another 40 tubes bent and then split those into srt6 and na's accordingly, those i also brought to the powdercoater, they had not started coating the original 20 at that time so now they have all 60 there for the powdercoating.

everything else is here, all the filters/silicone/clamps/hoses/brackets/ect..
as soon as i get the call saying the powdercoating is done ill go pick them up and begin boxing/shipping

Installed mine last night. Took me ~4 beers, but I work slow and drink fast.
The SC whine is AMAZING now. I'll post more info later or in another thread.

Did the powdercoater give you an estimate on when they might get to these, and how long it will take them to get through 60 of them?

this week, they are ~ a 300 employee company that does mostly govt contracts. its not some dude in a pole barn that i can keep calling and hounding. they should all be fiished at the same time, they have huge walk in ovens so they will most likely be baked all togather.

we cut all the rad passthru and valve cover breather hoses today so all we have left to do its burn the instructions onto 40 cdr's (which i'll start in a few miutes). you guys should see how much packing peanuts we have waiting for these, i bet we could fill a small swimming pool

 

You should bag the CDRs and just link a download from your site to the pdf you have created....granted this suggestion is from a Govt guy that has no business experience...

 

You can skip my CDr if you want. I still have the instructions I printed from the last SRT-6 intake I bought from ya.

needswings, i am installing my nitrous kit tomorrow and it will be sprayed into the intake before the throttle body, your intake will not change anything in that area right?, it is just after mass airflow sensor correct.

 

we attatch directly to the throttle body, if ya want to send us the fitting we can weld it in (assuming its aluminum)

 

My New NW CAI will be installed on the '06 SRT6 Roadster at Rob's this week in Detroit.

hmm......... really and what will that cost me and where exactly would you weld it in, it has to be after mass air flow sensor and before the throttle body optimum is 6-18" but i dont thing i am gonna get 6 inches away. i plan on putting the nozzle right on the bend of that tube and spray directly toward the motor so that will still be in the rubber elbow correct.
