nitrous!
nitrous!
ive been lookin to nitrous as the only affordable way to make power and yes i no all the crap everyone has to talk about this power adder but....... ive been doing some research and i found that Nitrous systems have come a far way! new kits are DRIVE BY WIRE which means dont have to worry about the nitrous engaging at the improper time or staying on past a certain rpm.
I no some people on the site already have experience with nitrous so we all no its works!! so now that the systems are safer for the vechicles of today (as long as you no the limits) why not purchase a kit???? what do you guys think? im serious about buying a kit just after christmas. i mean my car is a daily driver. id never have to use the nitrous unless it were track day or im just crusin the streets with my boys. so i really dont think it could hurt the car as long as its used responsibly.
P.S.
i say affordable power because im not a 150,000 dollar a year doctor or anything im just a new painter at a bodyshop that got a discount on his crossfire..haha.

Re: nitrous!
i like where you head is at. I too have been thinking about n20 but dont look at if the motor can handle it because there is a guy with a slk320 with a 100 wet shot and he is clocking off 12.62@111mph with an auto. And he had something like 72k on the motor. I would be more thinking about your traction control and how to keep it from cutting the ignition and destroying your motor that way. I dont have a fuse to disconnect for the tc so I could only spray 2nd gear and up and not spin but I am also running 295's in the rear ..

Texas is flat so there is no need to put curves in any of the roads. We have to go to the tracks or X cross events to have any fun. During normal street driving here, if you need to show someone what you can do or respond to a challenge you will probably be going in a straight line which nitrous would be good for. If I still lived in CA, I would probably be focusing on driving skills, handling and braking first.

the reason I am thinking about it is because everybody in Idaho thinks crossfires are a joke, I would like to shut some of them up.

Let me put it to you this way. I could not peel out before nitrous, but now I can.
Re: nitrous!
sorry havent replied in awhile guys got caught up doing things on the weekened! im 95% sure im going to get it just waiting for the holiday season to pass so i can rebuild my funds!!!!!!!! but as far as drag cars go... im a big time mopar guy i own a 70s muscle car already(forced to buy Xfire because of gas / reliability AND just pure love for the car) just trying to look for some new school power. Also here in TUCSON AZ there arent any autox tracks unless i feel like taken a drive to pheonix or risking driving off a cliff on the mountain haha..!
I dont think the traction control will be in issue because of the tps nitrous activation i mean the sensor should pic up the change in airflow and there for cut the nitrous? im trying to get a hold of NX guys right now ive wrote them an email with me questions so will see!
