[Crossfire Specific]
- SI offers tuning/custom-tuning/custom-dyno-tuning of any Chrysler Crossfire 3.2L / SRT-6 (stock or modified) ECU. Software was and has been available for these vehicles (one of the only domestics we can tune do to Chrysler and MB being associated).
Important things to remember:
A dealer reflash is covered under our warranty (if you can avoid it by requesting a non-update flash, I would do so) - but to further explain: An SI-tune comes standard with a 1-year warranty + protection from dealer reflash - i.e. ALL original and modified files are stored in a database according to the VIN# that is read from your original ECU (this 100% guarantees that you will not be receiving the same flash as the next person). SHOULD the dealership reflash your ECU with an update, a customer is allotted three (3) free reflashes solely because of this purpose.
- Turnaround time?
Uninstall ECU, overnight ECU to our location (exact address in thread) to arrive here by 10am PST, we do the ECU work same-day and return the ECU by 10am the next day to you. In total, 3 days maximum (usually, as in 90% of most cases).
- What if I wanted an ECU update because I've performed an additional power mod?
Of the reflashes within a year period - they can be used toward either updating your ECU/DME to accommodate (for example, a bored throttle body, or OD pulleys, intakes). The cost? A fraction of the original purchase price based on original purchase time.
Example Scenario:
John Doe: SRT-6 Engine Flash 1/15/07 - Standard Warranty to 1/15/08
5/6/07 - TSB ECU Update via dealer (obligated)
- 1/3 Warranty Flash (of most recent ECU tune to date)
6/10/07 JD upgrades w/ Evosport ODPS and "requires" an ECU update
- 1yr. update warranty - cost? It’s been 5-6months -from the 6th month onward, we will ask for 50% the cost of the original flash (i.e. $500 original $999.99 or GB price). Anytime below this date, is based on the percentage of the month/yr/etc.
10/14/07 TSB ECU Update via dealer (obligated)
- 2/3 Warranty Flash
And onward from there.
------
Now of course it is to your advantage to either buy a package up front, purchase aftermarket pulleys, tell us what you've got and/or provide a baseline dyno for us to work off and do it right the first time. OR consider modifications earlier within the one-year period. Group buys, for many of the reasons above, work their magic this way.

Dynograph Information / Gains / Customer Testimonials
In a collaborative effort to organize everything that's accumulated between 3-4 different threads... here are the following:
Dynograph Images:
SRT-6/C32 Engine (please don't question whether a Chrysler ECU is 'different' software-wise to an MB ECU - they have MB part numbers on them).
HP/TQ Dynograph, Transmission Correction Factor 1:1 (this is a translation from FWHP to RWHP at the hub, recorded on a Dynapack - which is consistently the best dyno to be basing any gains from).
- SRT-6/C32 engine with OEM SL55 splitte, Evosport ODPS, and SI-tuning. This is what an SRT-6/C32 could and SHOULD be performing at.
XF 3.2L W112/C320 M112
Forum member "xe'd" pretty much gave his time and effort into "proving" that we're real and gains can be had. We're all pretty sure he's enjoying the torque. For more information on his experience, please click this link: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=13786.
When we have even more ready and willing customers to do baselines for us, I will update this specific post regularly with crossfire-specific dynos.
SI Bragging rights: Apparently, we've been the only tuner so far to get past the dyno-tune roadblock i.e. no more pulling fuses or spinning wheels on the dyno.
You are welcome to contact our contracted dyno-people: Church Automotive Testing to verify anything about our tuning (the phone number is on the top of the dynograph - your contact will be Shawn - the owner, and you were referred by me, Jose).
For people who want to understand a dynamometer and specifically how and why our choice of RWHP dynamometers was a Dynapack dyno, please read Shawn Church's personal write-up about his facility and dyno machines here: http://home.earthlink.net/~spchurch/...ting/id12.html
SpeedInnovation's specifically advertised gains on these engines are the following STOCK cars (based on our experience, which will vary depending on conditions: fuel octane, modifications, car maintenance, age, mileage - basically many, MANY factors, please remember that NO given vehicle is the same).
Crossfire 3.2L/320 (91OCT - FWHP) 215->232 (93) 215->236 (94-100) One can only imagine...
Crossfire 3.2L/320 (91OCT - FWTQ) 229->247 (93) 215-251 (94-100) +

Crossfire SRT-6/C32 (91OCT - FWHP) 349->359 (93) 349->366 (94-100) +

Limited Group Buy Authorization / Organization
Let's be honest - group buys don't happen all the time. When they DO and you miss out? Good luck chiming into another one, especially if it is a niche group buy in which a MAJORITY of a community has already purchased a product.
SI won't exactly "go anywhere" anytime soon either though, so in the unfortunate event that you DO miss a group buy, well... talk to us. We can still tune your car.
- Cost/Benefit/Waiting Time
Group buys are highly effective ways to organize many people toward a certain product. BUT, is it worth the wait? Realize that in a two-month time since a GB proposal, you could have already had an ECU tune performed in a maximum turn-around time of 3-days. Was it worth the $3 or $4 a day to excruciatingly wait for the other "I'm down" participants to deposit as well? That's your call. Will a group buy even happen? If organized correctly, I think it can work.
That being said, SpeedInnovation IS open to a group-buy effort, but it must be highly organized for this type of product and industry.
THE FOLLOWING GROUP BUY IS IN EFFECT (since 1/11/07)
--------------------------------
NEW YORK / CROSSFIRE ECU MEET AND GREET / MAIL-IN FLASH
Now I've received MANY, MANY inquires about:
1) I want in on the group buy, but I'm not in NY, can I still have my ECU done for the group buy price?
SI creates an EXCEPTION for XF Members:
If XF members themselves want to join in collaboration with the NY group buy, we'll accept 5 minimum mailed-in ECUs, with deposits up front (more on this later) for only people who cannot make the NY GB meet. By the deadline date (specified below). All this means is that NY with their own euros, which could include crossfires must come up with 20 Physical cars to tune at a shop willing to align with SpeedInnovation during the meet date.
2) When is the deadline date?
February 11th. Exactly one month from the start/interest date. Why? Because if the GB deposits are met AT or BEFORE this date, specifically on THIS DATE we (Jesse and I) will book our tickets to NY at least 2 weeks in advance to get great airfare pricing and accommodations.
REALIZE, that this ALSO gives us time to tune the mail-in ECUs - spread over 2 weeks, which makes our job easier. Realize that in any given day, we will probably be able to tune 25 ECUs max without passing out in front of our stations. So the spread of ECU shipping and receiving helps us here.
3) Alright, now about that scary up-front deposit everyone talks about...
Many of you are concerned about up-fronting a full deposit to get "in" on the group buy - we understand and have chosen to be a bit more "lenient" regarding this issue. Now this is different for those doing the mail-in ECU's, they'll have to pay upfront regardless (I hope this is understood quite clearly on WHY)... but won't be tuned until the 25 people are confirmed by February 11th...then they can be authorized to roll-in.
A 50% Deposit must be received by February 11th based on group by pricing for XF Members (hope this makes everyone happy):
$450 3.2L/320 via paypal (send $235 via paypal, balance to be paid off in person in some verifiable form).
$750 SRT-6/C32 via paypal (send $400 via paypal, balance to be paid off in person in some verifiable form).
Deposits are EASIEST handled through paypal, obviously, because of the refunding process should this not go through by February 11th. When depositing via paypal, please include all relevant information. I will personally e-mail you an invoice of some sort verifying your payment via paypal regarding a deposit on the software tune.
YOUR PRIMARY PAYPAL VERIFIED E-MAIL ADDRESS: jose@speedinnovation.com
I hope this makes it fair for all parties involved and also highlights to you, as a consumer, the extreme dedication of SpeedInnovation as a tuner ready and willing to dedicate our time and effort to provide XF Members with real, honest, tuning.

The ~344 WHP/350 TQ ECU flash is mapped for 91 octane (so east coasters can expect even better).

I guess you were doing the assuming, and I do know the difference between FWHP & WHP, your statement say's "344 WHP/350 TQ ECU flash is for 91 octane". The Renntech kit I bought, pulley's & ECU puts low to mid 340's to the wheels with 91 & mid 340's to 350 to the wheels with 93 octane with no SL55 splitter involved, to the wheels meaning WHP.

Re: All-in-one FAQ Thread - SpeedInnovation ECU Tuning Info/GBs/Specials
When? in New York?
2) When is the deadline date?
February 11th. Exactly one month from the start/interest date. Why? Because if the GB deposits are met AT or BEFORE this date, specifically on THIS DATE we (Jesse and I) will book our tickets to NY at least 2 weeks in advance to get great airfare pricing and accommodations.
And more important where? I don't have a paypal account and I don't trust Paypal. Can I authorize a straight CC payment? And verify it in New York when finished?
Carl

Shoot me an e-mail about the GB interest, I'll e-mail or fax you some CC Auth forms immediately.
