Default $10,000 off sticker

A dealer is offering $10,000 off sticker for a fully loaded roadster SRT-6 for $40,000. There are no buy it now prices on Ebay to compare. Is this a reasonable deal?

Kurt,
Are you saying they are offering it for $30K (after discount)? If so, thats a good deal. I've been tracking the XF on ebay for a couple of weeks now and the SRT's are going for $34K+ with buy nows around $35K. I just saw one right now on ebay with a "buy now" of US $33,995.00. I'm not in the market for an SRT, but thats a pretty attractive price for that car.

Let us know what you find out.

Roadsters are 50+. That seems reasonable, but bear in mind that Chrysler was offering 9K rebates on Overstock.com and chrysler had an additional 1K cash back...sounds like they are continuing the deal from January (internally). Mention that to them and see if they will come down anymore. It can't hurt.

Good Luck!!

I got my SRT6 roadster two months ago from a dealer for $38,600. Fully loaded with GPS. This would be a good gauge - the deals are out there.

Dan's right. You could probably get one for about 13k off original (13k max, in my opinion) with some good negotiating techniques and a dealer that wants to move one, which shouldn't be too hard.

You can get a new SRT6 (no nav) in Las Vegas for $38-39k. There is a used one at a Cadillac dealer on eBay in Phoenix, I believe they will take low 30s after talking to them recently. Best deals I've seen seem to be in Texas, don't know why.

i don't know what you're talking about, weather is great, especially now (75-85). the roads around where i live are all great, most of them brand new.

i got about 14K off the price of my srt6 roadster about 4 weeks ago, just be patient and they'll deal.

That true some days there it's beautiful then bang frost or black ice, then rain rain, and almost every road is being redone always. North. Dallas but i think most in Texas would buy a MB or Pickup and potholes the size of a VW.

Everywhere I go in the US roads are being worked on. One reason for the Dallas area is rapid growth. Housing prices are good, wages are fairly high. Good place to live. Most people can afford a higher priced car. My .02 You know what they say in Texas, if you don't like the weather, wait a day.

Also I don't think its fair to put down an area of the country. There is good and bad everywhere. I bet we could find some negative things just about everywhere people live. The key is to stay on the positive side.

$13,500 off the $47K sticker for my new '05 SRT6 coupe, purchased in FL last month. When I offered to pay 31K instead of 33.5K, sales manager came in and said, if I didn't appreciate the value at 33.5K, I was free to walk. As far as I know there's still an SRT6 coupe at another nearby dealer, discounted only to $38.5K. Maybe that's why it hasn't sold yet.

I wasn't knocking a certain area, only giving my comment on why they sell for less in Texas (maybe). My dad and kids live in north Dallas! I may move there too, someday.

When i was shopping around for a xfire the lowest my dealer would go on an srt6 coupe was 36.9k (that's the only xfire they had)... i settled for a limited xfire elsewhere...

I live just north of Houston and the roads (IH 45) are great. I've never seen any ice on roads and very little frost. We do have rain, but I don't find that hurts cars.

I'll bet there are more nice vehicles in Texas than any other state, simply because people have more expendable income due to the very inexpensive housing market.

Cool Re: $10,000 off sticker

I paid $29K for my SRT-6 coupe, but I do my research really well. It's always good to wear sunglasses when dealing with the car dealers.

Like it had a 100 miles on it. WOW! So I don't mind that and I'm not gonna pay the extra $16-17K extra for it. Is 100 miles even considered used? Oh well...
