Default bad 327 bought from chris Aniello (srtmaster)

due to covid last month i installed the rear i got from srtmaster,,read this ( https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...tml#post938200 ) last month well about 100 miles of use no hard driving the rear started to make a clunking noise,,
yester day i removed it the diff is shot can not be rebuilt, the wave trac can be rebuilt at a cost of over 500. so now this member
srt master who will not answer any of my calls or correspondence will now cost me the rebuild of the wavetrac the cost of a 327 diff and the install and removable from the car 3 times .so the cost of this 327 is about $3000.00 thanks to a this MEMBER.
so if any one knows this guy chris aniello (srtmaster),, well you know what to do and or say.

this is what i sent him on 12/30/2020 hello Chris, this is jim I bought a yoke and back cover, remember the ones you said to me " quote the diff you get with the 327 and wavetrac in it , it will come out of my car and be sent to you" end quote the back cover and yoke cost me $300.00 so you owe me $300.00 being i paid u 1300.00 for the diff,,,you have my address so send it asap.
everyone remember this New gearing in my SRT6 - from 3.07 to 3.27 - Success! start at post 127,, don't do business with this guy unless u want to be screwed.

Jim
I was really expecting to see a very short history of this thief, but he's dated back to 2011 on the forum. His history was limited to 80 posts in 8 years. When the thief shipped the parts to you, was there a return address and full name? If you have all of the detailed information related to the thief, I would obtain some legal advice in Florida and file a small claims suit against the thief. I would also check the state laws in the state he's located in, to see what recourse you might have to recover lost funds.
Good luck in the future with any transactions with forum members.....
Dennis

Yes Dennis, I have checked with attorneys,, waiting for answers , with covid, things work slow. He should have gotten a letter before covid. but a thief is a thief, it may take a few years buy he will get what is comming to him ,, in his correspondence before buying it he had said

( in my first post about this) ,Chris:--Nov 8----"i have been thinking about selling it ,yes with the gears inrack. the wavetrac is like new condtion and the gears are fine ,$1300. + shipping sound fair? ofcourse all in tact and ready to install,

you know we trust car people and 99% of all car people are what we expect, no matter of the car or year. jim

I truely am very sorry to hear you are having this problem. Especially with the high costs involved. You are a reputable forum member and seller. The whole history and situation is not clear to me, but I trust you have a valid complaint. It's also not clear if you are trying to reclaim subsequent labor costs as you are providing that information. I'm no lawyer, but I don't think costs related to installation or removal are generally covered. The total cost just makes the situation that much worse for you. If you buy a brand new widget part for your car from Rock Auto, and you take it to your local mechanic to install, but afterwards they find it is bad and they have to remove it, Rock Auto is not going to reimbuse you for that labor. Maybe a small claims court would? Using Rock auto as another example they are going to cover the part only for x number of days irregardless of the number of miles. The timing between making the purchase and reporting the problem is critical. If the seller thinks he has a defense around the situation I think it would help a lot if he would step up and say what that is. Forum pressure has proven to work in the past.

This is not really comparable to this situation, but it reminded me that 10 years ago I made a purchase from a forum member that was a bad exprience which I don't recall mentioning before. It may have been my 4th or 5th purchase off the forum, and the prior ones turned out well. It was a car part item. The seller had many items listed and did not post any pictures or give any condition information. Given the condition of the item I received it was not usable and I just threw it out. The seller was exiting the forum as he sold his car and was selling off the items he had collected. I suspect he had replaced this item on his car, and held on to the old one which is what I received. The cost involved was significantly lower, and the seller was going to be gone, so I just left it to a sour lesson learned. Fortunately, I've not had any other forum purchase problems.

Toolman I did notifly the guy the day i received the diff, asking what happened to the yoke and the rear cover he never responded ,I ordered early Nov. received in it took a month for him to ship and for me to rec. here is what he said
( in my first post about this) ,
Chris:--Nov 8----"i have been thinking about selling it ,yes with the gears inrack. the wavetrac is like new condtion and the gears are fine ,$1300. + shipping sound fair? ofcourse all in tact and ready to install,
yet it came with out yoke and rear cover. yes my cost is close to $3000. but lawyer are using only $1450 diff +shipping the canceled ck i sent him.,, i think he cashed the check, then shipped 30 days later so i could not stop the check. anyway that part is done he just needs to check his mail ,,,and also see if there is a lien on his house. jim

Sorry Jim, I too was swindled by a member (gr8len) with a damaged 181 pulley. Luckily Waldig came through with the parts to repair it. Just voicing my support for you. I bought a throttle body from srtmaster years ago and all was good. I was surprised to see this.
