TCU Reset w/ different trans
I had to put a new (used) transmission in my SLK32.
The ABS/ESP lights are noe lit and won't go off. The car drives okay, but the shift points are a little off, plus I cannot turn ESP off. It does, however, allow me to manually shift between gears.
I took it to my local indy garage and he said that the new trans cannot be paired with the existing TCU and therefor cannot be reset.
This just doesn't sound right to me. He's using some version of STAR diagnostics, but don't know which.
Anyone else swap a trans out and had this issue?

I would think Rudy at Accelerated Industries could solve your computer related transmission problems. rcompart@gmail.com He just completed lots of modifications to a transmission that was pulled from a V-12 cylinder Mercedes. Rudy will be dropping this transmission into my SRT-6. Squirrel Crusher
