Default Switch location?

My best bet for installing a quite large toggle switch (it has 12 male/spade contacts) is between the mirror adjustment switch and cup-holder.

I don't suppose anyone has a photo of this area with the plate removed?

If you have removed the plate, is there room for a large switch? If so is it possible that if I pry around the edges of the plate, it along with the switch and cup-holder will lift out? Or do they need to be removed first?

ALSO, did you see what I saw in the PDF in post 12? They left behind a hole and "accomodation" for another switch in the exact place you referred to!

Now YOU have given ME an idea.............................................. .
