Default Selling srt-6 question

I am going to be selling a SRT-6 soon. Are they on average going above the KBB values? Or is KBB a good judge as to what I should expect? I would say in very good condition,85k miles. It is not pristine or show room condition.
Car is located in Corpus Christi,Tx

Just dont be shocked by the horrible resale these cars. One reason the mileage ive put on my doesnt brother me. Whenever I do offload mine, I'll know I enjoyed the car while I had it.

The POS broke down again when I was having it detailed. My co worker was bringing it back and it died on him. I towed it to my home. Once I get it whatever is wrong with it fixed, its gone. I dont think it wants to leave

Awwww, a lonely XF? Seriously, have you posted the symptoms and/or codes it is pulling? Might be a simple easily known/fixed (inexpensive) fix! Good luck!

An owner of an SRT6 calling his car a P.O.S. This is a first that I've heard of here on the Forum. I'll guess that you are 20-something? You apparently don't know much about cars, or perhaps maintaining them. The few issues that can occur with our cars can be troubleshot and fixed quite easily if you could bother to search here on the Forum. Don't make the mistake of bringing it to a Dealer. After they finished with you, you'd be calling them a P.O.S.

Yeah, I've often thought of FCA as a MAJOR PIA in its support/prices with this car BUT sometimes dealing with any mechanic or dealer (with this car) IS a MAJOR PIA. Sometimes, the pissitivity is directed to the car, that is for sure.. This site is THE ANSWER to those higher prices and most of the breakdowns.

Yes to all the above. And yes, you are more diplomatic than I, lol.

Actually I am 47 and I have been financing this POS for awhile. I would consider myself well versed in car repair. I did not ask for help to diagnose it did I? I asked about value, that was it.
While the XF is a neat little car to have, that's all it is to me. Once I have repaired it, it will be sold with a good riddance attitude.

Excuse the hell-o out of me. Well there goes the diplomacy (with one who calls himself a well versed car repair person but takes his car to someone to fix). Have fun selling it, I hope the new owner has a better attitude when he/she joins a forum with members willing to help with their car. Oh, wait, OK, value? I wouldn't give you the time of day for your car.

Well GraphiteGhost, we are on the same page as I would not give or sell it to you. Put your pom poms up, my reply was directed at dinart and his post. For an educated man/women you sure read a lot in a post. I never said I was taking it anywhere to fix. Read below genious...

To each his own but it's a shame that you feel the way you do toward what is, to many of us, our favorite auto. While I find the car pretty reliable and not all that hard to work on, it is not for the faint of heart, actually it takes a special kind of person to appreciate them. As you are not one of us, I wish you well in your desire to part with the car and hope that the buyer is one of us!

That I can respect. While my calling the car a POS may be offensive to many enthusiast here, it is what is. Its my car and it has broke down one to many times for me to enjoy anymore and therefore my opinion of the car has diminished. I too would prefer someone who likes the Xf to purchase it. I have been a gear head since I could buy hot wheels and built many rides over the years. This car, while very fast and cool, is not for me anymore. It needs a home that will appreciate it once I fix it. That was part of the reason for this post...to get an idea what they go for. I do not want to get rich, I wanted to offer it at a fair price that would catch the eye of a XF enthusiast. I get on ebay and I see crazy prices of 13k or better. I see KBB at 8k, so I asked. That said there was no reason for the childish accusations made, then again it is what it is. I can dish it out as good as it is given.

Once I am confident it is running good and dependable, I will post, if the the buyer I have lined up backs out. Time permitting, I should have it repaired and ready to roll next week. Again that depends on my work schedule as I am not 59-61 yr olds passing judgement on others. I am a 47 year old fixing my own XF and without help of the forum ........
Yes I had to go there.

Thanks Miami. These cars aren't for everyone, (as in they need good homes) that's for sure. 85k? That's a lot of miles for an SRT-6 to develop issues unattended to. If you stay on top of them, treat them nicely (ie; don't abuse the oh sh*t button) and keep them in their sweet spot, they're Toyota reliable. This is a great forum, saltbranch...don't knock it. I've seen many self-proclaimed SRT-6 diehards come and go. You come off as "car as appliance" no matter what you say..er..type. If you want a performance car without any kickback to you or your "on your own repairs" pocketbook, then buy an LFA or, even cheaper, a GT-R. Best of luck to you.

No pompoms here (whatever that means?). Regarding your posted comment of 'an educated man...' directed at me, first, 'genious' is spelled genius, second my post was offering to help, and one of your comments in your post 10 was directed at offers to help. So yes, I took that offensively as it was directed at no one in particular. An educated man would critically analyze then respond. You conveniently overlooked post 7 in it's entirety, how is that for further clarification of my understanding (again) of your post 10 rant? Maybe when you next comment (at someone specifically) you should direct comments BEFORE posting, by member name, not afterwards? Besides your lack of positivity, and your selective generalizing of comments to others, you might want to be more concise in your posts? Personally, when you (in your current attitude towards the crossfire) 'dump' it, I hope your record of membership (dismal as it now is with THIS member) is forever purged from the forum/system.

Stick a fork in me, I am DONE! With this post, and especially with this member.
