How many miles on your car and Ive never heard of the supercharger seizing up? I mean I could see it happening if say the oil inside of it leaked out somehow and you ran it bone dry but that shouldnt happen.

Anyway, no you want need a tune. Just put it on and it should run assuming thats the only problem.

The car has 67k miles, and yeah I'm not 100% sure the cause of the supercharger seizing up but that's what the dealer said. Anyway they are replacing it with a new one for free so I'm gonna take them up on the offer. But I just wanted to make sure they're wasn't anything else needing to be done

If the dealer is replacing it for free, count yourself lucky !
( However, be warned that only a very small hand full of dealer mechanics know anything about Crossfires anymore )

It happens. Seized one of mine.
Of course I may have been driving a bit too hard, too long while running stacked.

Running more than one non-stock pulley to change boost.
I run the Code 3 s/c pulley and 181 crank pulley.

Just trying to wrap my mind around ANY dealer that would perform free work like you're saying. Is there some fantastic extended warranty involved here?

Hey Steve. That sounds like a more plausible scenario; but like D.J. mentioned, it does happen. Warranty or not....... Caveat emptor. (or in English...... Beware of Dealers!) But, I truly hope this young man does in fact get a free fix. Please let us know the outcome Yumu.

Hey guys so after waiting 12 business days I finally got the car back and they replaced the entire supercharger for 200$ (my deductible on the warrenty) not a bad deal.

Looks like the price of the warranty was money well spent.

Been there, but not because it seized. I noticed it leak from behind the black ring on the SC clutch and it left a trail of evidence. Warranty covered that....and a bunch of other things the tech decided to point out. Listed exclusion warranties are worth the money on this car.
