The OEM thermostat is 186 deg, I believe, that's about half a needle below half on the guage.
Here in Alabama on a 100 deg day with AC on and in traffic, I have seem 214 degrees on my NA.
( I have an UltraGauge that shows engine temp in F or C )
That's about 2 needles above half

Normal for me in warmer weather is about a needle above half. If I sit in traffic for a bit, it drops significantly and I know the fan kicked on.

Thanks for the replies i just want it to know if it's normal temp for the crossfire to be above half way on the gauge cuz I just to own a 04 gto and Pontiac cars temps are a bit higher I think the thermostat and fans go on in about 215+degrees so they work on hotter standards

This is a topic where I would like tips to keep the operating temps with the stock needle at 9 o'clock as that is where the car makes the most power. I am willing to drill a few holes in a stock thermostat as I have read where that has helped others.-How about the fan command in a tune, could it be programmed to always come on in high RPM mode-other suggestions? THX!
