Default Pulley discoloration or residue?

So, I've had my 65mm pulley on now for about two months and put maybe 500 miles on it. It's working great and I love the extra power from it, but I've noticed some white looking residue or maybe even discoloration on the black back plate. Has this happened to anyone else with a 65mm pulley? Should I even be concerned?

Does it wipe off? Kind of looks like oxidation.

No it does not wipe off. I would agree that it does look like it could be oxidation. When I first got it and installed it, it was solid black. I really hope it isn't deteriorating or something especially considering how new it is. I looked at pics of other sc pulleys and haven't seen anything like it.

Looks like the polish 65mm pulley, its just oxidation. Mine looks the same, no issues on mine so far.
