Hope you carried along a clean set of diapers for after the ride

As you know, Mark, I've gone about as far as you can go with the stock motor and I have never had a 11.5. that really takes some serious HP. I was wondering about the larger versions of our motor, what are they, 3.7 liter? Set up with the same configuration, that extra .5 liter should be worth about 50 HP. That might get you into the desired territory.

While contemplating my last post, something struck me. How about having our M112 MB engine block bored out to 97 mm and using pistons from the 3.7 liter? I would have to check if the piston design is the same but this was the old school way to a bigger motor, not done quite as much today.

Read this and see how you feel about boring out the cylinder..

Are Mercedes Benz and Porsche engines rebuildable?

You can over bore if you install new sleeves. I am running Darton iron sleeves in my block.

What year/model is best for this conversion?

any year crossfire ,with the srt6 the drive shaft fits without modification that.s it.

if any one wants a V8 conversion now is the time to do it as we (Rudy & I have a supercharged V8 and a Tranny with about 60,000 miles on it) after May ,,there is about a one year wait, jim

Cool. But I was really asking about the donor car. Sorry I wasn't more specific.
